I fitted two of these to a base unit and they have made it much easier to use the space effectively. Yes, they do not have the same surface area as the shelves they replaced but what you have is much more useful and accessible. They operate very smoothly and the construction is very rigid, solid feeling and well finished. They are a lot more substantial than some I used that stick onto existing shelves. You can adjust the width (within limits) to suit the cabinet and to clear any door hinges and are easy to fit by anyone with moderate DIY skills as long as you measure carefully. Footnote - my daughter liked mine so much I ended up having to buy three more for her kitchen, so be careful who sees them!

I bought this basket runner as I was fed up of items getting ‘lost’ at the back of my cupboard. I wanted to be able to pull the shelf out fully to peruse all the jars and tins on that shelf. This basket was perfect for this, it is excellent quality, very smooth running and the fact it has a solid base and not a wire base is a big positive for me, (no jars and tins tipping sideways). It is relatively easy to fit if you can use a screwdriver, electric preferably. Once fitted, the drawer feels so solid and secure. It is full of tins and jars and still runs smoothly, I did give it a small spray of WD40. You may notice on one of the pictures there is wood battening either side of the runners, if you are fitting this to a 400mm cupboard you will not need this, unfortunately (my error) I measured the inside of my cupboard as 400mm not the overall width, so the 400mm size basket actually measures 365mm. I needed to buy a basket for a 450mm cupboard, which was a ‘schoolgirl error’ on my part. That said, a bit of searching for battening to fill the void each side and this was rectified (cheaper than sending it back). So just make sure you measure your cupboards correctly before ordering. 😬 Great item, would definitely recommend.

The instructions specify to measure the cabinet and use the screws to hold in the side bars, but completely leave out what those measurements are supposed to be. I'm still in the middle of trying to find some guideline somewhere with a comparable shelf. Hopefully it will be straightforward then. But if you have a choice to order from someone else, get their installation info beforehand if you can. I should have.

Strong, easy to assemble and install.

Put 3 of these in a 400mm cupboard, they are strong and well made, totally changed the cupboard worth every penny

This has given me so much worktop space it holds my microwave and works really well
