Pestplug Works For Rat Prevention
We used this product after a rat infestation in our single story attic back in 2015. After replacing our roof in October 2019 we purchased Pestplug again. After researching the subject of how rats can enter an attic area through very small openings it was apparent that a flexible weather resistant product would be required to obstruct all openings around our home. After installing Pestplug I engaged a process to remove pests remaining in the attic. After a four year test and no sign of pests in our attic I can safely say the product works. Due to its heavy stainless steel construction rats cannot eat through the materials and consequently do not enter our attic.

Great product.
Very good wool for plugging rat/mice openings. Really like that it is stainless steel and doesn't rust. The only negative was the junky scissors included with the wool. They can't even begin to cut the stuff. In fact, they barely cut paper. Dear Mfgr., if you're going to include scissors, make sure they cut your product! Otherwise, just leave them out. Anyway, the wool itself is really good.

Seems to be "stainless"
Be ready to clean up a LOT of tiny metal filings, because this stuff makes a mess!So far it has been about 8 months & there are no signs of rust.So aside from the initial mess & process to install, this product seems to be genuine & works as intended.

Works great.
This is great stuff for plugging up holes to keep pests out. Do it once, never again.I like overkill, particularly when I've crawled on my back under a house to plug a hole. After packing this in, I then injected construction adhesive into it as well. This will really hold it in place and also seal air entirely. I won't be back to that hole. If you are building a house or having one built, see if you can put this in every place plumbing or electricity enters in.

Product, scissors and gloves all worked as advertised!
Working in a tight crawl space, the gloves and scissors worked perfectly. I used a wood chisel to insert the product where I wanted it to go. Now let’s see if I get any more mice in my basement!

Works well so far, very difficult to cut, a miserable job to install.
I have not had any more mice indoors since I installed the steel wool. I had to use tin snips to cut 4 inch X 25 ft size into 3 equal widths, then tucked the 25 ft lengths up into the space between the foundation and the Trim board. Very Difficult to cut. Wear gloves included and wear eye protection. I threw my shirt away since it had so many little shards of steel wool imbedded in it.

This stuff is easy to use
This stuff is easy to use, very effective to keep pest out, but difficult to cut and the scissors that came with it are useless and wouldn't even begin to cut the steel wool. I had to use a pair of steel cutters. Don't even think about picking this stuff up with the gloves on. You will be sorry.

Sheds tiny sharp pieces of steel all over! Returning it.
I was really looking forward to this product to fill the gaps that mice were using to get into our house. But...Pros:- Sharp, complex steel web that mice will not be able to get through.Cons:- It sheds thousands of tiny microscopic pieces of razor sharp steel. There was a solid layer of them on the surface I was cutting it over after just a few minutes of working with it. I had read about the shedding in the reviews, but it was so much worse than I expected - it seriously seemed like millions of teeny shards dropping out of it and flying around. I was afraid to bring it in the house and end up with little sharp shards of steel everywhere.- Difficult to work with. It sticks to itself so unrolling it is a project. The shards fly around as you pull it apart so if you do buy this, be sure to wear heavy duty gloves, eye protection, and a mask.I love the idea of this and if it was made so there wasn't the volume of shedding, it would be awesome. I was trying to figure out if I could use it on the outside, but I feel it's too dangerous to use anywhere and will be returning it.
