The media could not be loaded. I bought the bookshelf speaker several months ago for my son that is in K12. Normally, I buy Logitech brand speakers; although; this time I decided to give Microlab brand a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging, quality, design, and audio.Design: The cosmetics of the fine leather and wood corners gives a nice accent on work desks. However, the speakers are a little heavy due to the 4 inch sub-woofers and tweeter. The volume knob on the front of the right speakers turns smoothly. Additionally, the back of the unit supports: audio input, power switch, audio output, treble knob, bass knob, power cable, and ac input juncture.Audio: The audio quality is excellent with smooth and rich sounds. Whereas, the bass is loud and clear and keeps it's richness. While other units have hissing issues at low volumes; the Microlab speakers maintains clear and crisp quality.The Good: Microlab speakers are a great price for the design and audio quality. The design is attractive with leather and wood corners. Audio is superb with smooth and rich sounds.The Bad: Each speaker has stands at the bottom, which causes black marks to appear on the furniture. This could have been prevented if they included foam pad at the bottom of each stand.Overall: The design and audio quality is one of the best that I have bought in this price range.

Love it when a plan comes together. I was looking for some relatively inexpensive desk speakers for my laptop (Mac Book Pro), and I also wanted fewer wires , so wireless was a must. These speakers have fit the bill perfectly so far.I consider myself a bit of a sound quality snob, and I must say that I am quite impressed with the drivers in these speakers. They are very neutral and balanced. Despite having tone controls on the back, you could leave them flat and they would still sound better than other speakers I've heard that cost hundreds more. They also have a higher volume output than I was expecting, and in my view are overkill for the application I am using them for, a computer desk.They are pleasing to the eye and touch, and feel substantive. The wood cabinet isn't stunning, but is handsome in an understated kinda of way. The speaker grills feel robust, such that I don't feel concerned about removing them frequently. Personally, I think the speakers look better with the grills on, as the drivers are nothing special to look at.The black "leather" skin covering the center portion of the speaker has a slightly soft touch to it, adding the the perception of quality, although I can't really tell if it's leather or not, which I guess is good enough.There are only two gripes that I have with this product so far; one minor, the other moderate.1. The placement of the volume control knob on the front of the main speaker unit is too close the the bottom of the speaker grill. It's a rather large knob, so having such little clearance between it and the speaker grill means it's a little harder to grasp securely, especially if you have large hands.2. A little more troubling, the speakers will periodically disconnect from my laptop (via Bluetooth) for no apparent reason. I've only had these speakers a few days, and thus haven't had sufficient time to recognize a pattern to this behavior, but it's something I am going to be watching very carefully. They will reconnect after 15-20 seconds without intervention, but the disruption in audio playback is of course annoying.So in conclusion, I gave a 4 star rating because of the Bluetooth issues I've had, but If I subsequently find that the root cause is something other than the speakers, I will update my review to reflect this information.I give these speakers a strong BUY rating.

Right out of the box something wasn't right. From all appearances these speakers look and feel top shelf. Then I plugged them in. First, wa gonna use them for my laptop I use for streaming so I tried the RCA jacks, no sound. Tried my cell to see if they worked with it. Nothing. Well, kinda bought them with the bluetooth in mind so I paired them to the laptop. The sound was excellent. However, dont walk more than 15 feet away. You won't hear them. So I checked all the levels on the laptop. After about an hour I gave up. I should be able to at least hear that there on in the next room, nope. So back to the cell. And yes they did seem a bit louder but if I'm gonna use them for music I definitely better hear them in the next room, nope. So I got a workshop in the basement, thought I'd try them down there. Now they're flat out busted!!! Turned them on and no flashing blue light. Just a solid purple. Cant connect anything now.They're going back first chance I get. Only had them 2 weeks!!! I wanted so bad for them to work out because, like I said, the sound was outstanding, just had to hold them up to your ears.My takeaway, for the price, dont take the chance. Might get a dud like me.

We received these speakers a week before Christmas and they work flawlessly! Everything came double-packed from Amazon, instructions were clear, and setup took about 10 minutes. I mounted them over a fireplace mantle so separation is only about 6 feet; but each speaker is clear and the balance is clean. Bass and Treble adjustments work just fine. And the wood cases are very attractive. Too bad the on/off switch is on the back of the right speaker...should be up front on the volume knob. But you can't have everything.Bluetooth distance seems to be about 30' before you get loss of signal, and any obstructions are an issue. For our application this isn't an issue. I'm using an iPhone 8 and my kids are using the X models. Paring was instant and no one has had any pairing issues.All in all these are very nice speakers and a very good price.
