Works great
Ive had several different roll out nest boxes. This is the 2nd one of these I've bought. They're easy to built, the roll out angle is just enough for the eggs to roll out but not enough that the chickens don't like them, the part the eggs end up in is deep enough that the persistent egg eaters can't get to the eggs (at least my little demon can't) and they're easy to hang. I do put a perch in front of them because the chickens seem to like something to perch on before stepping into the box. They would sit on the lid to the roll out if I didn't have the perch, but having the perch seems to help keep them from pooping on the lids.

Zip tie the rollout trays to the box to avoid hens working the trays loose
Overall good design. I installed the box in a pen with 4-month-old pullets to familiarize them with the box before they start laying. They like to take turns jumping on and then off the green lid over the egg trap. All of the rattling works the rollout tray loose from the metal tab holding it in. By late afternoon every day, one or both rollout trays are on the ground. A simple and inexpensive solution is to zip tie the rollout tray to the back of the box. I used an 8-inch zip tie in the photo. A 12-inch would be better and easier to install. I will need to cut and replace the ties in order to remove the trays for cleaning.

Great chicken box
I LOVE this egg box! It was easy to assemble and the removable trays are a cinch and I clean quickly. I really like the slanted top. Our old box had a flat top and our chickens got up there a lot and made a mess. The slanted trays in the bottom not only clean we but really do allow the eggs to roll away from the chickens and under the covered area so they can't peck the eggs. It took the chickens about a week to get used to this new box, but they have been happily laying in it since!

Easy assembly. Good size.
This is a really good size nest box for my Orpingtons. My chickens started using it the first day. It was easy to put together. I might buy a couple of more.

Easy to assemble and works well to defeat even the most dedicated egg-eaters
These are designed to hang on a wall, but I was able to put them on the floor of my coop and prop them up a bit so that the eggs rolled easily into the storage compartment. Yes, they are expensive, but I was at the point where I was going to have to cull my entire flock if I didn't find a solution to the egg-eating. I had tried fake eggs, eggs filled with dish soap and a lot of other tips I'd read online. Nothing worked - until these nesting boxes! If your hens all use the same "favorite" nesting box, you'll have to empty the compartment more than once a day, because if the eggs back up in there (more than about 5 or so), the birds can stick their heads into the front of the compartment and reach the eggs.

Chickens still can reach the eggs !
If you have stubborn egg eaters like me and thought you would save yourself the trouble of building a roll away nesting box , you like me were mistaken. It’s very shallow and my little feathered heathens reach right into the box and eat the eggs. However it is sturdy and easy to clean . So if you just want a simple nesting box sure buy it.

New Jersey Giants live their new nest boxes
My hens are enjoying these nest boxes, finally. I did have to modify the lids and the inside flooring. It was too slick for them. I hot-glued some indoor/outdoor carpet to the inside of the tray where the hen sets and a couple of strips on 2 of the ridges of the lids. Now they are even broody in them. I have new Jersey giant hens and they fit perfectly.
