Superior at transferrring images without leaving smudges . The graphite is readily erasable with kneaded eraser. The transfer paper is thin, and it works well even on thick #140 watercolor paper. It’s well worth the money to purchase it, it’s so easy to use.

Out of necessity this is thicker than regular graphite paper, which means that using it the traditional way (transferring an image using an additional piece of paper) doesn't work the best. I did that myself and the transfer was very faint. But really, the whole point of getting this paper is to save that step altogether, which it does wonderfully. The paper works great in our printer. In our case we just need to load the paper graphite side up so that the image gets printed on the white/paper side of the graphite paper. Your printer might be different. I use the draft/low ink setting when I print on it, it saves on ink and still gives me a good image to transfer. It's great skipping the additional tracing step and makes for far more accurate transfers. The graphite doesn't seem to harm the printer in any way, even when I accidentally put it in with the wrong side up. And it gives a nice, strong transfer once I go over the image with a pencil or stylus. Also, since it's wax free the transfer is erasable and it works really well for pyrography pattern transfers. I love this stuff!

Easy to use and lighter transfer rather than the darker transfer method. I like using the MyArtscape product for my watercolor paintings. A good product and value.

This transfer paper had been recommended as smudge-proof, which is a huge plus in artwork. I pressed firmly with the stylus (which 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper requires) and kept my hand hand from dragging as I worked, and the pattern transferred beautifully! NO smudging, NO skipping. Once the pattern was inked, the extra lines erased perfectly without damaging the paper. Well worth the price as each sheet can be used repeatedly. It erases like a dream on watercolor paper.

I was a bit disappointed with this paper, as it did not work well on sanded pastel paper.

It works as I expected. The graphite layer requires pressure similar to 2H-4H pencil. You need to press hard to get a vivid transferred trace, but it is sufficiently discernible with a sharp HB pencil tip to transfer. The trace is also more difficult to erase than 2B or HB pencil. But the graphite layer on the paper does not smear easily. I use it to transfer images for drawing with graphite or charcoal. I did not test it with water media.

This transfer paper is a million times better than normal carbon paper. Being able to erase wayward marks is a game changer.
