Drawing 110 watts measured from my power supply. A car 12v lighter is limited to 10amp so max is about 140 watts when the car is running (14v) or about 120 watts with the car off (don't do this unless you have an extra battery as it will kill your starter battery very quickly). It took about 22 minutes to go from 66f 400ml (13oz) water to boiling near sea level. This is about what I would expect based on the wattage. Start with warmer water, it will take less time. Use it while the care is running so the wattage is slightly higher and it will take less time.The built in stirrer is nice for several reasons: tall containers can boil over if you open them too quickly after they get up to temperature, especially at altitude so giving it a few seconds of stir helps that, and if you want to mix up your drink it is great! It's also a useful cleaning feature.I can see some people not being happy with it if you expect it to heat water faster, but it's a simple matter of physics and how much power you can get from a cigarette lighter plug, that has nothing to do with the quality of the unit.The only reason I would downgrade it is if it stops working, if so I will update this review.

I have never had a car hot water heaters that actually worked. I did not have any hope for this one.Imagine my surprise when I drove across country and was able to heat water to boiling within about 10 minutes. I then pulled over to the nearest rest area and was able to brew some tea.When I got this, the interior smelled plastic-y and I didn't like it so I was going to return it. I had nothing to lose by boiling some baking soda and water together to see what would happen. I did it and the smell went away!I do not use this to carry tea or coffee in the actual container because I didn't want to have to wash it. All I did was boil the water and then pour it into a separate container.Note: it indicates temperature on the outside of it and it is in Celsius. If you want boiling, let the temperature go to 100°.I was very much impressed with this unit.PS: For those who say it doesn't work, make sure you press the bottom button securely. I didn't at first and it didn't work. Once I figured out how to do it it works really well.

I love this kettle! I'm an avid tea drinker and I love matcha tea lattes. Now I can have my tea or my matcha anytime we're traveling using a dry matcha tea latte mix. We often take all-day hiking trips and not only is this convienent it will save me $7 buying lattes in coffee shops.The seller also helped me find an adapter that I can use to plug this kettle into the wall. This will allow me to use it in a hotel room as well when traveling. Broke in the first month cord would not work. I had bought a previous one on Amazon and that lasted 3 months. Then the cord went bad. I don't recommend these kettle pots at all. You'll just keep wasting your money. Now I know I can get a refund on the first one. They know it's faulty. I don't know about the second one and I can't find a cord anywhere for this particular item. The kettle worked fine. It was the cord.

Worked great to make some herbal tea while traveling. It was also just the right size to fit down inside the center cup holder on our Toyota Highlander, which makes it easy to operate while driving.

Works for the car. If you wanted to bring it in and warm something up, finding the right adapter is hard, even when you follow the instructions given on what to get. None of the adapters I've gotten have worked so far, so one star is knocked off.

Works GREAT - FANTASTIC! First time using set on the boil temp and actually the water was too hot. Will have to work on adjusting the temp for the perfect setting for us, everyone has a different definition of a hot/warm setting to them. It took about 16 minutes to boil 8 oz of freezing cold water. Thinking it would have taken less time if the water was not so cold to be heated, but that was all we had in the car from the ice cooler. Would recommend to all and would purchase another of the same exact one. Definitely worth the money!
