Standard cheap filling cabinet (the cheapest i could find on the net). For use with A4 suspension files only!Price reflects quality ...Construction is of thin metal sheets - probably be able to cut through with a can opener.Both drawers lock via the key on the bottom drawer. locking mechanism is a "L" shaped lever turned by the key clockwise up through the bottom of the top drawer and into the side of the cabinet. if someone is determined to get in - a good strong pull will bend this "L" shaped lever and the drawers will open. So not recommended for public space, i use in my private office storing personal files with minimal security concerns, just want to keep the kids and the missus out.overall ...nothing special, but happy with item and very prompt delivery (within 3 days).

Cabinet came on time or maybe a couple days earlier. When I unboxed it one of the drawers were bent. The cabinet's locks and everything still works just the bottom drawers left corner sticks out a little bit farther than the rest of it. But for filing purposes it works so I'm not up to returning it.

We ordered two of these and they look rather smart and work well. Only downside is that they were damaged in transit, I assume. We didn't quibble about it, as the hassle of sending back is too much. Fortunately the dents are on the back where you don't notice them.

Item arrived promptly and well packaged. However, inside it was in a bit of a state! Around five small dents at various points on the outside, and the top appeared to have been sat on, bending the thin alloy inwards. Neither of the draws fitted well, and took a bit of diy to get working, and even now the bottom one doesn't open smoothly. Generally the parts of this cabinet are of poor quality, and the construction terrible. As it was well packaged, I can only assume it was in this state before shipping.

The gauge of the sheet metal is far thinner than the more expensive foulscap cabinet which is over twice the price. I would go for the more expensive on every time.

Nice piece of kit. I really like it. Was delivered so quickly, the next day I think! It's sturdy and does the job. I can see that if you loaded it right up with stuff and had both drawers open at the same time it might fall over but who would do that...I'm sure I read that in other reviews. It's just common sense that if you open the drawers to their full extend with a heavy load it would topple.Anyway, I really like it. No issues so far been using it for a couple of months. Would recommend

ideal for what we wanted a cheap means to store files. draws don't push back into unit fully on their own they have to have another push. plus why has bottom draw got the lock.

Purchased this to get rid of all my different folders and to keep everything in order but also to have it in black to match the rest of the furniture was a bonus. If my paper work increases I will get another to match.
