Came adequately sharp, then sharpened up to scary sharp.
Don't know if it really is D2, but it can take a truly razor like edge. Out of the box, this could shave a few hairs off my arm, but not very well. About 30 passes per side on a natural 10,000 grit stone at about 15 degrees per side past "flat" and a dozen more passes on a leather strop, it now will shave clean, cuts loosely held paper, etc. About as sharp as anything I own needs to be. Will update after I try some reasonably demanding tasks with it. As far as the mechanics, first omega spring knife I've handled. It works, locks of solidly, no play. Can easily "flip" it open after pulling back the lock. Both springs present, no rust, blade was lightly oil coated and the pivot, etc. also. I am happy. Interested to see how sharp it is after taking apart a deer. (Edit) After wearing in for a week, this flipped open or closed as well as my coordination allowed. I would advise preemptive locktite treatment for the screws. Especially on the pocket clip, mine came loose after about a month. It's not crazy hard steel like my Japanese kitchen knives, but quite hard enough. Resharpened fairly easily- Between sharpenings, responds to honing on a (completely smooth) RHC 64 cabinet scraper burnishing tool. (Second edit) I bought another one in yellow, it is a better color for visibility than the somewhat pale orange of the first knife (which disappeared while hinting- ####!). I was curious to check if this IS really D2, I had it X-Ray Flouroscope annalyzed at a metal recycle business. Short answer: NO. See additional picture of readout, there are substantial differences between this alloy and D2. The analysis software thinks it's similar to to Cronidur bearing steel- Which is a VERY durable alloy and pretty corrosion resistant... Honestly, if they were using that type of steel and advertised it truthfully? I would have been interested in buying one just to check blade material performance. Still a fine beater pocket knife, takes a good edge and holds it. And at $25 US, I only swore a little when the first one disappeared. Tool fills my needs.

From junk thinking to great
I will admit that when I saw this knife I was sure it was a junk knife because there were no logos or names on the knife, only D2 stamped on blade. I ordered it to prove to myself I was correct. The knife came in today so I had to write this review. The knife is very well made, has no sharp edges on anything except the blade edge Opens very smooth and locks very good.I have not used it much but it has proven to me to be a great knife. I realy don't know where is was made but it has very good quality and workmanship.I believe this knife will be my EDC and you will also. you will not be disapointed with anything with this knife.I'am over 60 years old and have a lot of experence with knives. (This is an updated review) After putting this knife through some rough work for 2 days. I found the blade held up good, buy the handles came loose and I took the knife apart and found the screws going into the steel liner came loose and striped out.Eafengrow said they will send me new screws and spacers. So you may want to take your knife apart and use blue thread lock on screws. This is still a good knife. I will be using it again when I get it back together.

Great for the price
I've only had this knife for about a month now but I have been using it everyday as a handyman and has been great. I cannot say how long it will last but it was only $26. I don't think it is really D2 since I have had to sharpen it every weekend but I am able to get a fantastic hait whittling edge so the heat treat has to be pretty good. Overall it has been a very sturdy knife and there is zero blade play as well as a centered blade in the closed position. It is a bit heavy and the "axis" lock copy they added is very stiff even after taking it apart, lubing adjusting etc. But for $26 I'm giving it 4 stars.

The fit and finish is great, and the G10 is beveled all around so ...
This is another solid offering from this seller. The fit and finish is great, and the G10 is beveled all around so nothing is making it uncomfortable to hold. With the frame being steel, there is some weight to this knife, but those liners have been moderately skeletonized, so it's not excessively heavy. Just heavy enough to feel sturdy and reliable. The blade itself is simple but attractive nonetheless. I'll have to take their word that it is D2 steel as my gas chromatograph is in the shop for repairs This knife is easy to open and close with one hand, and is smooth the whole way through. I might think to say that the spring on the AXIS lock seems awfully stiff, but I'm not familiar enough with AXIS locking systems to know if that is the norm or not. I can imagine that it might be so that it can ensure a solid lock. All in all I'd say this knife is a quality piece that is well worth the asking price.

Very good knife for the cost.
This will be more of a product overview and first impressions than an actual review since I have not had it long enough to know how it will perform in the long term. First impressions, very good. I am very impressed with some if these budget knives from China and this is no different. The fit and finish appears to be perfect. There were no cosmetic issues, everything fit together tight with no gaps, the blade is perfectly centered in the handle when closed, and the blade grind is even and consistent. The only two things I could possibly take half a star off for are the ball bearing pivot and the "axis" lock. The ball bearings are not silky smooth. This is my first ball bearing knife so I'm not sure if this a common thing or not but it also doesn't affect or impede the function or use. The same can be said for the lock, it's slightly more loose than I would like but works as intended and the spring tension is strong enough without being difficult to use. Initially, I can not speak for the blade steel. Being my first D2 knife I have nothing to compare it to nor have I had it long enough to state what it's corrosion resistance is and/or edge retention but I am optimistic it's acceptable. Overall, for the price, I'm not sure one could do better. It appears to be perfectly suitable for a EDC pocket knife.

Nice knife but I can't disassemble it
The Good: The G10 grips are nice The knife is pretty light D2 blade steel and almost 3.5" for the money Smooth action The Bad: The clip is pretty crap. A deep carry pocket clip would really help this knife out. I can't tear down the knife, I found there was no way to remove the screws holding the lock together, I'm guessing they used some sort of locktite. Sucks, cause I don't trust a knife I can't take apart. The choil/plunge line is too sharp against the hands. When flicking the knife closed, the blade nicks your hand. The tip sits too close to the end of the frame. It's given me a couple small cuts. Overall, it's a knife that could have been awesome if they just took some design cues from other companies on grip length (so the blade won't nick you), and allow for easier disassembly. Also, a deep carry pocket clip would be great. I'd happily pay a couple extra bucks to have a knife with these features. For now, I've removed the clip and tossed the knife into my truck as a knife to sit in my glove compartment. If you want a D2-blade EDC knife with most these features for around the same money, go buy the BladeHQ.com exclusive Kershaw Cryo. For $35 it's American made, has D2 steel, has a reversible and left-hand capable deep carry pocket clip, and carries Kershaw's speed-assist open action.

good knife, just needs a few adjustments
well built knife but there are a couple things you will want to do to it. 1. use a flat-tip screwdriver to take the pivot screw out and add some blue loctite to it. then tighten it down and adjust it a little so it's only slightly tight and you can flick it open easier. 2. oil it! if there's oil in there i couldn't tell. the action could use a polish so when opening and closing it doesn't feel so gritty. you can buy the fancy stuff, but i just used some daiwa fishing rod oil. that seems to work well enough for me. it's a cheap knife but with decent steel. you have to expect it not to be perfect. i'll be putting a nice polished edge on this one in the future, but the factory edge is 95% scary sharp already. i'm sure the break in period will be twice as long as a benchmade but that's fine at this price point. 5 stars for price & unexpected quality of build

Good beater knife.
For $25 i can't complain. With a few mods it'll serve its purpose as a work knife. I had to reshape (round off) the pocket clip because it gets caught on whatever shirt im wearing. The clip also makes the knife ride higher than I'd like due to its design. I had to oil the bearings and tighten the pivot screw. It came sharp but I'm very specific on how "sharp" the blades i carry need to be so I put my edge on it. I've also had time to test out the toughness of the "D2" metal they use. I can honestly say it DOESN'T hold up as well as it potentially could. Thats why i say it'll be a good beater knife.
