As an occasional sweets enthusiast (less as I get older teeth, haha!) I was absolutely delighted when I got this large 800g bag of fizzy and gummy sweets, which instantly transported me back to the joy of childhood penny sweet shops.My other half loves the newer ones, so this pack is perfect for sharing with friends and family alike, during film nights or other gatherings. While initially I thought these this as a treat for myself, I've found that seeing others' faces light up when I share these sweets has become the most enjoyable part of having this delightful assortment in my home. And the diverse mix of retro classics with newer sour treats offers something for everyone.In particular, I love how the different textures and flavours bounce off each other due to having a selection in the pack; from the sugary fizz coatings that make your tongue tingle (old fashoned stylee!) to the satisfyingly chewy gummy centres that prolong the flavour experience. Yum.

I usually love all jelly, fizzy or foam sweets, so I'm really disappointed to find that these are very unpleasant. They come in a resealable packet, but they have obviously been compiled from several different sources, and they all either taste stale or have a sticky texture as though they've been left near moisturise before putting in the packet. Many of them have taken on the flavour of the strongest sweets - mostly watermelon - and the texture is not only slightly damp and sticky but also a lot like plasticine for some of them. There's also a weird Halloween theme with lots of witches, skulls, spiders, eyeballs etc which is probably not what most people are expecting and which really gives the impression that they are leftovers.Unfortunately, after trying one of all the different types of sweets included, these had to go in the bin.

Not a good mixture, the fizzy (what there was) were not really fizzy, so a bit disappointing.
