Women's Transverse Suede

My go to hiking boot used to be the Columbia Trailstorm but since they stopped making those I had to find a new pair. These are pretty similar to the Trailstorm, they’re still lightweight and feel like a perfect mashup of hiking boot and tennis shoe. They’re slightly shorter than the Trailstorm but the toe length on my normal size 7 fit just fine with mid weight wool socks. They’re definitely waterproof and mud wipes off easily. So far they’re holding up well and don’t look scratched up or old despite wearing them most of the late summer-early winter and putting LOTS of hiking miles on them. The first couple times of wearing them they did cause some soreness right above my ankles on the shin bone on the outer side of the leg, from where the top lace sits and caused the tongue to press on that spot. It wasn’t terrible but I definitely felt and had to loosen my laces, after about 2-3 wears it feels perfect and causes no soreness. So I do think these require a little breaking in, when I first tried them on I really wasn’t sure if I liked them but I had been so spoiled by the comfort of the Trailstorm that I decided to just give them a try. I’m glad I did because they’re my new favorite! The color is also super pretty!

These boots are awesome! I used them in Alaska, walking in the snow. My feet stayed dry and were not cold. They are true to size. They are also comfortable. I was able to walk all day and my feet did not hurt.

The media could not be loaded. For reference - I am 5’8, weigh 300lbs, and wear a size 10.5 wide in woman’s shoes. This is important to know because I was torn between purchasing MY regular size or the 11 WIDE, BUT I went with what the reviews and Amazon recommended and ordered the 11 WIDE. I’ve purchased other shoes in size 11 WIDE and they were huge but let me just say, these boots run small. I am so glad I sized up. I bought them to go on a slight hike in Oregon and they were SO comfortable. They kept my feet warm and did great with wet areas on the trail. I also love the color I ordered because they go well with most outfits. They WERE slightly tight on the top of my foot by the shoelaces but all I did was adjust them and they were great! I wore them for the remainder of the day and had no issues. DEFINITELY SIZE UP.

They’re lightweight with good grip.I tried multiple pairs of Columbia hiking boots to find the one I would be a 100% happy with, and I get quite picky.1. It’s smooth on top —- I wanted my hiking boots to be waterproof and smooth on top so that it’s easy to clean and have less stains. This pairs have smooth upper, and not fuzzy like suede upper.2. I chose my regular size 8, but considering I’ll be wearing thick hiking socks, I got 8 WIDE. —- They fit perfect and I felt comfortable, not too tight on the side and length.3. Good grip. —- Needless to say, you need good grip for hiking.4. Lightweight hiking shoes. —- They’re sleek and not bulky hiking shoes with ankle support.I didn’t test how waterproof they are but they seem to be, at least the upper is, but the tongue is sponge/mesh so that that specific part may not be as waterproof as the upper will be.

Finally found the perfect hiking boot! I have a pair of Keen and a pair of Merrill's that are ok. These Columbia boots are the best! No breaking in needed. I have bad feet, bunions, flat feet, arthritic toes and feet and these are very comfortable. I tested them out on the treadmill and they felt great. Just got back from my first hike and walked through the woods in dirt, mud, gravel and muddy water. My feet stayed dry and comfortable and after I was done I simply wiped the mud off my boots! Very easy to clean! I highly recommend these hiking boots!

Comfortable right out of the box!! Light weight and easy to wipe off. Laces are non slippery and stay tied! Love that they come in wide width so there is room for wool socks for hiking.

These boots were perfect for my 5-day trip across Iceland. They kept my feet completely dry through waterfalls, lava tunnels, glacier hikes and more. I would absolutely recommend. They are true to size, good ankle support and very durable.

Received these boots and they were covered in red dirt and the logo inside was starting to wear off. I returned these boots without any issues.
