This seems to be identical to the Microsoft ("MS") mouse. I found this InCase mouse while searching to replace my stalwart MS mouse. the MS mouse somehow got into the washing machine and went through the full "heavy" cycle - including two rinses. As I was taking the clothes out an putting them into the dryer i discovered the MS Mouse. A that point, the red light on the bottom was still ON! I removed the batteries and drained and shook water out. Sensing that the microwave might not work as planned, I put the MS mouse into a container of rice. After few hours, and fresh batteries, it would not come on. Assuming it was D-E-D, dead, I put the MS mouse back in the rice. I then found and ordered this InCase mouse. After I received the InCase mouse, I decided to check the MS mouse again. It took some time to shake the last few kernals (grains?) of rice from the MS mouse, but I was amazed when the MS mouse lit up when i put the batteries in! It works like new (even though there may still be one last kernel in there). Although some may wonder if this InCase mouse has some "vibe" that affected and somehow "healed" the MS mouse, I choose to believe the MS mouse just needed more time to dry out fully. I decided to not return the InCase mouse. I will keep her just IN CASE i ever lose or break the MS mouse. This is a great mouse.
