The Islanders are the newest and smallest wheels in the Bigfoot line. The latest Bigfoot innovations offer a super high rebound 78a durometer urethane and a center hub. Coming in at 65mm in diameter, 78a in hardness, and 45mm in width. Center hub with a 41mm contact patch, rounded slightly inner edge. All of these details put together equal a wheel with quick acceleration, smooth ride, good grip, with good slide characteristics. The rounded edges allow the wheel to break loose and slide easily. It's awesome. It's smooth. It's Smawesome.
You know, I was kinda skeptical about getting these trucks. I was never aware of this off brand truck and wheel set. Unlike most people, I just have it a whirl, and I was very happy. The package came with what was advertised (and some bearing spacers). The wheels are like rubber; soft, smooth and easy to hold. The trucks are tougher than the metal on my royal and element trucks. The bearings are already greased up with some speed washers thrown in there. I was really happy that I got these extras for no extra cost. It really helped me out when I was putting the board together. Now for the fun part, the experience. The wheels and trucks make my board a bit heavy, but that's fine, I'm only cruising with it. The speed l get with a normal push is about as fast a brisk walk. The wheels are very useful. They help me get over the cracks and the spaces in the ground from the concrete sidewalk. Overall, this is amazing. If you ever get the chance, give the ma shout out. If you don't feel convinced, they have REDS bearings and BEAR bearings if you want a company that you can trust.
