Sticks things others won't!
Used properly this stuff REALLY sticks. Apply to both surfaces, let dry for about an hour .. then be ABSOLUTELY sure of placement BEFORE putting parts in contact. You will get no second chance!Works on almost any material,

This is what you want to bond with.
Crazy glue (CA glue) is great, but it has limitations. The BIGGEST one is it dries hard as a rock. Contact cement bonds until death do us part, but remains flexible. This is what you want to repair shoe soles, bonding laminates, floor tiles, and bonding different materials like leather, rubber and metal.

Metal can dented in transit
This stuff works great. It dries quickly and adheres well. They warn you of the smell but I don't find it strong or offensive. I actually like it as it reminds me of being in art school many years ago. I've used it before and will be repairing some rubber beach shoes with it.It's a bit pricey no matter where you buy it. I was surprised when I opened the box as I thought the size I ordered was a larger can. I guess that's my fault, not theirs. The can came dented in a couple of places. It should have been packaged better. This time I will be placing the closed can inside a zipper plastic bag in an effort to prevent it from drying out. The last one I bought was closed very tightly and yet it dried up so it was unusable. It's too costly as is, not to mention it costs double if you end up losing half of it to evaporation.

Old Faithful
This has been around for ages... why? Because it works, and works well. I just used this to refasten some venier on a countertop that had come loose after many years. Spread it on both pieces, let it dry, then press together and they are stuck solidly for another 20 years. A screw on lid helps keep the product fresh for several years after opening.

Works correct for me
I'm too blind to read the directions. Lemme see, as I remember clean surfaces well, coat both parts and let them set up a bit until very tacky? Check.Worked better than my last contact cement. Great adhesion on the first and last inch or so of my bison hide bar-wrap.I also use CC for small parts assembly, bolts, screws and nuts stay on the driver in awkward positions.Rule No.1: Shut the can as fast as possible. The toluene solvent evaporates fast.I noticed this type is a bit thinner than past types. That's a good thing. You want more solvent, not less. Figure, 20 open-and-close uses if you follow the rules. Normal, thicker types figure 15 uses and it turns solid in the can.A Contact Cement for large textile/ upholstery gluing jobs is one thing. This is formulated for regular, small-job consumer use.I rate it 5 stars for my purpose.
