Q: SM fiber off street to electric shed, underground 250ft to house to supply Int/TV. Want sec. cam at shed. Can I use this at shed to feed cam to house?

Make sure you use multimode fiber between the house and shed, as this adapter is for multimode communication.

Q: Some people are saying this model tfc-1000s20 is for multimode cable but the description says it is for single mode cable ???

The description and TrendNet's site states it is for Single Mode fiber. All the other sites list it as Single Mode as well. I did not purchase this unit, I purchased the unit that uses the Mini-GBIC module. But..... I did notice that the listed questions are the same as the ones for the unit I purchased It appears that the Mini-GBIC unit I purchased, the Multi Mode unit and the Single Mode unit all share the same 26 questions. Check the model number in the title of the unit on the page. The Multi Mode unit is Model TFC-1000MSC, the Single Mode unit is Model TFC-1000S20, and the one with the Mini GBIC socket is Model TFC-1000MGB. If you notice on the page where this is listed you can choose the model you want, mode, interface, distance and etc. So all the questions refer to the series, not the specific model. For exact information, visit the Trendnet site.

Q: Can you mount these on a din rail in a plc cabinet?

They are wall mountable so I would assume you would be able to mount to a din rail as long as the measurements are compatible
