Great for Gender Reveal Parties!
I bought this item for our Gender Reveal party. I've only used it once so far, but it did its job. I hated that when people would cut into their cake with a knife you could see the color before pulling the piece out. I don't think this would be good it you only wanted a little slice.

The design is good. But sometimes the cake piece doesn't come easily
The design is good. But sometimes the cake piece doesn't come easily!! Sticks and have to tap couple of times

Does not cut slimy pie
I was disappointed immediately when the cutter did not cut our apple pie on Christmas night. I have not tried it yet on a cake but was hoping it would work the same. I think since a pie is messier, it was not able to hold onto it. This was a gift for my mom and I do not know if it is working on normal cakes.

I was not really happy with the cake cutter and server. It does cut the cake but everything sticks to it.
