Teething problems
I upgraded to this machine from the Sewist 525 because I needed a more comprehensive machine. Most of my projects are for free motion quilting and at first I thought I’d made a big mistake as my thread kept breaking and stitches kept skipping. I contacted Janome by email (replied same day) and they suggested using purple tipped needles. Amazing results. No more problems. The machine itself is fabulous and the bigger ‘throat’ is ideal for bigger sewing projects. The computerised stitch panel is easy to understand but I recommend you read the manual from cover to cover before using the machine and don’t assume you ‘know it all ‘ like I did. Happy sewing

Sewit4you sold me a faulty machine and refused to repair it after only 6 months of purchase.
The media could not be loaded. LONG, BUT WORTH READING. I bought 2 sewing machines from sewit4you. First one, one Janome Atelier 3 in May 2020 (through Amazon). Second one, Juki Du1811N October 2020.My Atelier3 stopped working suddenly after switching from straight stitch to L letter (mode 3-22). The needle started jumping up and down like crazy hitting some mechanism in the bobbin area for no reason. An extremely obvious machine malfunction.I sent an email which was totally ignored.I then called sewit4you and Jalpa (Manager) told me on the phone that "in her opinion" the 2 years warranty wouldn't cover the repair because it was delivered to me in perfect condition 6 months ago and, at the end of the day, machines "just break sometimes".I sent her a video of the needle hitting the metal surface where the bobbin case rests, which was consequently scratched. Once again, "in her opinion" the needle was not touching the plate and I would definitely have to pay for a new bobin cradle myself together with the out of time repair. Tonally ignoring the fact that there might have been a computerised fault, hence the needle not moving to the right position when changing modes. As can be seen in the video, the needle clearly touches the metal and you can even hear the noise in the video every time it hits the metal!!!!!So, basically, despite having spoken to one of the engineers (after my insistence), who also watched the video and confirmed to me that the needle was definitely scratching the metal surface and that the machine was totally out of time and the repair would definitely be covered under the warranty, I was totally ignored for a week. The engineer even reassured me on the phone that he was passing the call onto his "boss" (to override Jalpa's decision) because she was wrong but, after keeping me on hold for 20 minutes, the call just disconnected.I tried to get in touch for days after that and everyone kept on ignoring me. I finally got a reply through WhatsApp over a week later, when Amazon had already taken over and issued a full refund. The reason why I also mentioned my second machine purchased directly from sewit4you, Juki, is because I experienced a horrendous customer service from this Jalpa on the phone already back in October. After having to give my whole credit card details on the phone because the website wouldn't let me finish off the purchase, I received no proof of purchase whatsoever and no tracking information either. I had to insist to get all the relevant information sent to me. The machine arrived with very scratched table legs, no user manuals and the belt was missing. I had to deal on the phone with Jalpa who called me a liar: "it's impossible for the belt to be missing!", "I don't believe the table is scratched, send me a video!". Which I did send, but she totally ignored it. Jalpa also lied about the measures of the table legs just to secure the sale. She was already rude even when I was just trying to buy the machine! And she totally ignored me regarding my Atelier3's repair. She even hanged up on me, literally!!! It's like hitting a brick wall with no chance for anyone to help or assist you after your expensive purchase!I am now out of pocket (Atelier 3 has now gone up £169 on price) and without my very needed working tool because some extremely opinionated and argumentative person has been appointed as the company manager. A reputable company would have been kind and helpful on the phone and repaired my machine, even compensated me for my loss of earnings.Weather the Atelier3 is a good machine or not, I will never know, as these people sold me a faulty machine, which also had tension problems from day one. To which I got told it was me who didn't know how to use the machine!!!! As you can see... charming customer service from day one!!!! Scroll down and buy from a different supplier

Love the love child of a sewing machine and computer!
Not used it a lot yet but it is simple to use and able to do a lot more than my previous machine. I quilt quite a lot and the extra space means I should not have to fight the quilt so much!

Janome computerised sowing machine.
Love it, although struggle with the auto needle threader but will get used to that. Sturdy, but not too heavy. Not tried everything on it yet.
