Great if you have pets who shed!!
I always swab out my sax with a silk swab after I use it, so I wasn't really in need of anything new to dry/clean out the bell, but I got this brush because I keep my horns out on stands, and I needed something to keep the dog and cat hair from drifting into the bell of my tenor. This brush definately does the trick! It slips into the bell, and essentially (very loosly) plugs it up, so nothing can find it's way in there. Any pet hair and dust that may be floating around in the room falls onto the brush, and stays out of my horn! The brush comes up to the top of the bell, and sits in there very loose, so it cant get stuck in there or anything like that. If you keep you're horn in the case, it will sit in the bow/bell just like a pad saver sits in the body (but make sure its nice and dry before you put it away, or you risk damaging your pads by holding the moisture against them). If one needed it to swab out moisture in the bow, im sure it would do the job as well as any pad saver does for the body and the neck. It shouldnt replace swabs that you run through your whole sax, but it is a really nice addition to help keep your horn in tip-top shape. And if you keep your sax on a stand like me, then this is something I consider a necessity to keep any particulates in the air from settling in your bow.

Does Not Flex Well
Brush is bulky and does not flex well for my tenor sax. It is not long enough to reach to bottom curve where most moisture accumulates. It can be manually bent to fit to your liking but it does not flex by itself very well. Seem to just flop around. I think it is because it is not large enough in diameter. Maybe it would be well suited for an Alto Sax instead of a Tenor.

I would like that the material wouldn't be so flimsy
I believe it does the job. I would like that the material wouldn't be so flimsy.

I really do like this brush
I really do like this brush, it works really well. There is only one problem i have with it and that is that you have to be careful how far you push this in the bell of your sax. If it goes too far in, it messes with the alternate F# key. No damage to it but i would still be careful.

It works!
Perfect for keeping the bell dry

Works well.
Does the job. With some minor reshaping, it easily traverses the bell bend right up the straight tube. It seems to absorb the moisture in the sax well. I suspect that the brush could actually introduce moisture if it is not dried between uses. ...Especially if it is left in the sax during storage.
