There are so many variations of Barbie Doll available that it can get confusing and expensive determining which ones to buy. This Barbie Doll is an attractive, slender model with a beautiful head mold, long blond hair, and a cute mod dress and footwear. The doll is fully jointed and I think it is nicer looking than many of the versions found at big box department stores.

This is barbie the way she should be! Every detail points to her being the Fashion icon that we love! Right out of the box the details of her face, soft side pony and stunning outfit with boots that scream, "I've got this,"are making the statement every fashionista wants to make! She understands the mission! MTM, stand included with a fashion forward attitude for New York, Milan and of course Paris', Fashion week runways! Skin tone has up the game away from the tan malibu dark tan and reflects real coloring. Mattel seems to be working hard at more true representations lately in this area. She's durable for kids, but she's really going to please the older older fans, who can appreciate the styling abilities! She'll give you hours of playability. She's great value. She'll be fun an older child, ( 5 and up), but the old adult collector is the perfect fit to appreciate her. They will have endless ideas to model and pose her in diorama scenes that reflects today's realistic settings for the dolls. The game has been up in a subtle nod to the other Fashion dolls, who have an edgier look, but not quite that approachable face and demeanor that has kept Barbie at the at of her game for generations! Well done Mattel!

The details are stunning, from her outfit to her accessories, and the quality is top-notch. Perfect for collectors or for kids to enjoy hours of imaginative play!

Beautiful doll! It is the usual 11.5" Barbie size, and the head removes without the need for hot water or special tools, making re-heading easy. This doll is for adult collectors, as children might find the head removal disturbing.

Mattel has listened to the doll collector who loves changing the doll’s clothes and hairstyles. The first dolls are released in anticipation for the Kits which are currently available for preordering on Mattel’s site. I chose number 1 because she has a beautiful face sculpt and a classic Barbie body. I am very pleased with my choice. My single complaint is that her hair is nothing like the photo on the box. It was stiff with product and required washing, cream rinsing and a boil wash. After, the hair is blunt cut at the bottom, so I went with that look. I imagine you could try curling it, but I was satisfied with the style I created. I have changed her into a lovely dress and she looks beautiful. The price is right, she is fully articulated and if you choose to buy a kit, you will have more outfits to mix and match.
