Good tool
Good pipe threader for the price. Was using it to install some RMC conduit and it did a great job. My only complaint is that the die pushes out of the handle somewhat too easily, but it's not a showstopper. The teeth did not seem to wear at all after a dozen uses, so the material is of decent quality. It is very, very important to use LOTS of oil. Put some in an oil can and squirt it every half a turn or so. Otherwise, the cutting action will not be smooth and you will get galling, poor results, and the tool will become dull quickly. This is true of an expensive threader, too.

Works great
It takes a bit of work, and there is a learning curve. After you get the technique down, customizing my pipe layout becomes a nice option. The money savings of working off a 10' stick of pipe vs buying all the smaller pieces is also a significant bonus. It makes the tool pay for itself.

Only one issue
Love this tool and works great. Only issue is the instructions are actually incorrect. They say to have the “dial” facing the wrong way for cutting and reverse. For what actually works, cutting in the instructions is reverse and reverse is cutting. Otherwise great product and well made.

Good price & easy to use!
This is so helpful and was super easy to use! Game changer for me. I am not a plumber, but sometimes I do minor plumbing jobs. Purchasing an electric pipe threader wouldn’t make much sense because I wouldn’t use it enough, so for the price this is a good buy for anyone that might need to use it from time to time. I would recommend buying a pipe vise or something to clamp the pipe. That is probably common sense, but incase you might not know, now you do.

All you need for the occasional use
If you're a professional plumber, buy Rigid products. For the homeowner with only the occasional need to use pipe dies, this product does just fine. I needed to thread 1 1/4" diameter galvanized pipe - about 10 different threaded ends, and this product performed well. Given the large diameter pipe, each thread took about 5-10 minutes to make. Just take your time, use plenty of cutting oil and reverse your cut when the tool starts to bind up to clear the metal shavings. I'll be trying to thread 3/4" pipe this weekend and will update my review. I suspect that threading the 3/4" pipe will go a little faster.

Well worth it
I recently developed a leak (my fault) between the water meter and my house. I replaced the entire length of 3/4" cast iron pipe with pvc after cutting the pipe at the house. I originally tried using a rubber coupling to go from the pvc to iron but it immediately blew off. After tightening further, it held but I still didn't trust it. I ordered this kit (and cutting oil) to thread the iron and used a threaded pvc coupling to finish the job. That was too easy. I may never use it again but the price was very reasonable and it saved me a lot of money. This has got to be the best return on investment I've made in a long time.

Works great good price
I know it isn't Klein or craftsman or snap on but this works perfectly when you need to rethread your pipes
