Wishing it stays the same forever
It's only a brand of buckwheat I buy because it has a nice flavor and because its groats are already roasted. I tried a different brand, but I'm so used to buying this one, especially in bulk; it is on my subscription due to its good quality groats. Buckwheat packs more protein and fiber than rice and is made the same way as rice, even in a rice cooker, but with extra liquid, so it's no brainer how to cook it quickly. I love the smell of it, too; it reminds me of my childhood when my grandma used to make it for me.

Tasty and easy to make!
This is a tasty alternative to whole grain rice. It cooks the same way in the rice cooker. Depending on what unit you have, you need to figure out the water ratio. It will vary from one model to another. Go lightly... you can always extend the steaming time if the grain is not tender enough. Once overdone, there is nothing you can do! It tastes very hearty and nutty. We love it. We eat it with veggies, also steamed and a home made dressing. YummyUPDATE: November 13, 2018Forget the rice cooker! My learning curve with Kasha is excellent. Now, I only place the amount I want into a bowl, add 3 times more water by volume and just let it sit overnight to soak. The next morning, it is all puffed up and fluffy, ready to eat. I love it that way! No mess, no cooking, which preserves its full flavor! At this time, I either eat it with steamed fresh vegetables, or in a smoothie. I love the smoothie! You can develop your own recipe, put into it what you like: seeds, nuts, fruit, honey, even a raw egg mixed in, and you have a wholesome and complete meal in no time!Five stars from me!If you liked my review, thanks for letting me know!!

Five Stars
I grew up in Poland eating a lot of kasha, which is roasted buckwheat. This is best product I used abd very reasonably priced especially for an organic product. I would like to share some cooking tips.I use organic chicken stock from a box instead of water to cook it. The stock gives it great flavor, no need to add salt. Use a couple of teaspoons of butter before serving. Love this product because buckwheat is carb free, good source of protein. Frequently I saute onion and mushrooms, add to cooked buckwheat for a nice change, can also add cooked bacon, top with fresh parsley. Looks and tastes great, keeps in fridge for several days.

Quality product
I’m typically not one to leave reviews. However, my diet is very important to me and I was especially pleased with this product. I ordered 16 pounds of kasha, which I had never tried before (bold move, I know). After simply rinsing and cooking the product, I was pleased. Both the flavor and texture are subtle yet pleasant. As kasha is toasted, it did have the trademark nuttiness that I expected, but it was definitely mild and didn’t overpower the other flavors of the dish (salt, pepper, tamari, peas, carrots, corn, green beans and lima beans). This is a new staple in my home, and I recommend anyone who’s “on the fence” to give it a try.

Consistent harvest, roasting is good.
I'm on my second bag of Buckwheat. I make it for breakfast everyday. I boil it for approx 10 minutes and I add apple, banana, peaches and blueberries towards the end of the boiling process. For one meal I will boil approx 1/4 cup of buckwheat. It swells and with the added fruit, it makes a full bowl. Also I enjoy the fruit added as well.I make my own jam (blueberry/black cherry/ginger) which I add to the hot bowl, along with organic plain Yogurt and splash of milk to complete the serving. There are SOOO many good properties of Buckwheat. Try it !!!! you'll love it.
