Kohler 1087763 Dispenser Pump Assembly

When I discovered that our "in sink" soap dispenser appeared to not be functioning, my first thought was to try and soak it in hot water believing that it was clogged. Apparently it wasn't. This took me into "it figures" territory and I was perturbed that I didn't have an easy fix like the rest of the world (in my perception. :)A little snooping online brought me to Amazon where I discovered this replacement pump assembly and I thought - for the price let's go ahead and try it. I don't even know if I have a Kohler faucet assembly but visually the parts looked the same before I ordered the pump replacement. Long story short, it solved my issue and I feel it dispenses soap better than when it was brand new! It was a no-brainer for the low price. As others mentiond, I had to shorten the intake tube but scissors quickly solved that issue and we are good to go! Check this out before trying to replace the assembly or other parts of your dispenser. It solved our issue!

I was glad to read a previous review that stated this would work for my Moen dispenser as the Moen refill was too large for my faucet model. And it works well.

Great replacement part and still working after a year or more now. outlasted the original pump and saved us money to repair rather than replace with a whole new dispenser.

What more could I ask for? This pump thingamajig plugged right in and worked like a champ. The straw part of it was too long but I assume that's because they may come with different sized reservoirs. You can cut it down or just swap in the straw piece from the old one like we did. That said, you are buying it for the pump, not the straw piece. It works perfect and I couldn't believe how cheap it was. Highly recommend!

Bought to repair Delta soap dispenser . Works great!

The Kohler 1087763 soap dispense pump is an easy and inexpensive solution for a failing soap dispenser pump. The original pump on my Kohler kitchen sink soap dispenser failed after ~7 years. The internal return spring would no longer push hard enough to reload the pump with soap. I tried the usual solutions for problems like this - soaking in hot water or vinegar - with no meaningful improvement. The local plumbing supply house said replacement parts were not available and I needed to replace the entire unit for >$75. I took a chance on this really inexpensive part. In minutes, with no tools, "Voila." Back to watching football!Note: part #1087763 is identical to part #1041645 except for the length of the tube. In truth, Part #1041645 was the correct length part for my dispenser, but the longer (by ~2 inches) Part #1087763 can easily be cut to length with a knife or scissors. I wish all nagging home repairs were this easy.

There are two Kohler pump replacement products on Amazon. This one (Kohler #1087763), works great as a Delta pump replacement when the straw is trimmed. The other Kohler pump replacement (Kohler #1041645) has a shorter straw which is not as long as the original Delta straw. You cannot just use the Delta straw as it is a slightly different diameter.
