I have a chronic pain condition that makes the ergonomics of everything that much more pertinent in my daily life; I have no problem carrying this at maximum capacity (I find 1.75L heavy) with one hand where I feel it's stable and easy to pour. I wrote to the company and they replied promptly, explaining to me: 1) that my product was actually the updated model, newer than the website image, and 2) the kettle is designed to "hold" at 208 for energy efficiency purposes - after getting up to 212. Additionally, 208 is actually adequate for any tea.With those clarifications, it was clear to me that my kettle was working perfectly. It is very fast. The capacity will allow us to serve approximately 5 mugs of tea. The menu and controls seem intuitive to this 40-something.It was sent with some citric acid for descaling, but I used vinegar instead and that worked perfectly. This kettle appears to have no plastic exposed to the boiling water, which is what I was looking for. It also has an attractive but modest appearance. The base is not much larger than the kettle, so it doesn't take up much space. Our favorite feature is probably the hold temperature, which distinguished it the most from our previous stove-top and one-button electric kettles.
