I have used a few laptop cases in my adult life, all which slowly broke down after a lot of use. My biggest complaint on the ones I have used in the past is that they seem to lack much needed room inside. It is important to get the laptop in there, but there also has to be room for the charging cord, mouse, notebook, etc. Some of these zippered pockets are so tight that there is no way to put something inside and still be able to zip up the pocket. This Brookstone laptop case is different. It is spacious, and still approved for airline travel. There is room for everything mentioned above PLUS a water bottles and snack too. The slot for the laptop had padding to keep the computer safe while in transport. The case has a removeable strap so you can choose to carry the bag over the shoulder, or in your hand. This is a high quality bag, and should last a very long time. Spot clean when necessary. This is a nice add on to my carry on bag. I was able to use it to hold my work laptop and a few other items. It secured nicely to my carry on, then I was able to pull it right off and slide it under the seat in front of me while I was putting my bag in the overhead bin. Gave me an extra "personal item" without anyone noticing!
