working very well for me
I have a few small birds (2 cockatiels, 2 parakeets, 3 zebra finches) and somehow, these gross little moths ended up all over the room where I keep my birds. I tried cleaning the cages really well and scrubbing the old food dishes, as well as throwing out my vacuum cleaner bag after vacuuming in the bird room, but it wasn't quite enough. (It did help, and I definitely suggest you try cleaning stuff up in addition to these traps -- you'll get rid of the problem faster.) I heard about sticky moth traps when looking up how to deal with these moths, so I looked the traps up on Amazon and found these. The 1-pack from this listing is one box of two traps. They do need to be used at the same time because the little pheromone tablets come in the same sealed packet. Once it is open, both tabs are exposed. Since I keep my birds in a single bedroom, the 1-pack was sufficient to cover all of that room. (I keep the door shut to keep my cats out and so the moths tend not to leave the room.)It is suggested on the package to put the traps in the freezer for a bit prior to opening them, just so it is easier to get the paper backing off the sticky parts of the traps. I did this and removing the backing was easy. I then dumped one little pheromone tab on each trap and folded the traps into the triangle structures described on the package (it is easy to do as the fold locations are marked). I was very careful not to touch the pheromone tabs with my hands (if you do, the moths are going to be attracted to your hands). I actually wore latex gloves the whole time, which was probably unnecessary. Then I put one trap on each side of the room.Within a half hour, I had caught my first moth. In 24 hours, I had caught 7. In 36 hours I had caught 12. It is pretty gross, but it is definitely working. I plan to keep these until they are covered with moths, then order some more. Please note, these will only attract the male moths. You'll still have the females to contend with, but if you get rid of the males, there will be no more reproduction. So it will take a few weeks to completely eliminate the problem, depending on where the moths you have are in their life cycle, whether there are moth eggs in your home, etc.I like that these don't emit any chemicals. I am not chemical-phobic like some people seem to be these days, but birds do have delicate respiratory systems and I don't even like to spray things near them. One other thing that will help is, when you get new bags of bird seed, put them in the freezer for a week before opening. (And then keep them in sealed containers.) This will stop you from bringing in any live moths or eggs.Anyway, it is definitely possible to get rid of these little moths, and these traps are a big part of my strategy. Definitely happy with my purchase.

No More Moths in my Bird Seed
These absolutely work!! I store 5 different bird seed mixtures in my garage and started getting lots of pantry moths and their larvae all over, including inside the bags of seed. NOTE this happened even after freezing the unopened seed bags to kill any moths/eggs already in the seed! Switching to sealed buckets for seed storage also didn’t make the problem go away. Started setting out these traps this spring in my garage, so far they have trapped a lot of moths and I have seen ZERO larvae and no adult moths in the bird seed and feeders. When setting up the traps, definitely place the cardboard in the freezer for 5 minutes before peeling off the adhesive cover, then try not to touch the adhesive as you fold the cardboard into a trap as the adhesive is very sticky - also affix the pheromone square to the adhesive near the center of the trap before folding it up.

WORKS UNBELIEVABLY WELL!!!
These things work like magic! We have lived in this house for 30+ years and we have NEVER had a moth issue until we brought that bag of bird seed into the pantry. All of a sudden, out of no where, we have moths flying around. Checked into some expensive treatments but stumbled upon these little traps. Honestly, I wasn't overly impressed with the simplicity of these when I first opened the package and was a bit skeptical. I went ahead and set it up and I have to say, I was TOTALLY shocked when I checked on it less than an hour later and the fate of four moths had been determined! Not another moth in sight. I installed this trap on 9/18, so it's been two months and we haven't seen another moth. I just took the trap down (to replace), opened it up and counted 60 dead little creatures!!! That's right, 60 on the little b@#$%^&s!! UNBELIEVABLE! About to install another trap. Bird seed is long gone, but still catching moths. Hopefully this next trap will do the trick. If not, there is NO QUESTION what I'll be doing! Yep, you guessed it, I'll be placing another order for more of these miracle workers! Absolutely Unbelievable.
