It's only 3 but it only comfortably fits 2 cards. Otherwise the material stretches and I do t want to take away from the aesthetics of it. Also, there are no bumpers so it doesn't protect the edges (can't remember if it said anything about bumpers in the ad). I had to replace my phone screen because it didn't protect it from the fall.
