Exceptional colour pallette, as the tin says they are truly harmonious pencils, they blend beautifully when I create colour gradients, I found they were soft enoughand easy to use which was nice. I havbt had any breakages when sharpening them either, overall I think the price point was good for the set.

Beautiful set, each pencil feels premium and they have such buildable colours. Love the tutorials included so even as a beginner you’ll learn so quickly! Definitely worth the money!

These are beautiful, and a great collection of shades and hues in a similar colour palette. I found them to be great for particular projects but obviously would need to pick up other sets if I needed anything out of the grays, purples, blues and pinks that are included in the set. There are multiple shades that are very similar which can be a pro or con for some, for me I see multiple pencils that I won't have use for so that's a downside for me. My only criticism is that the nibs are so soft that they cracked under too much pressure, and ive only just tested them on the swatch paper.For the price, lovely and a brilliant beginner safe option, not enough variety and too soft for heavy handed artists like myself.

Beautiful range of muted colours.Ideal to supplement an existing set, but not recommended as a stand alone set due to limited range of colours. Eg no reds or yellows.Highly pigmented colours which lay down well and soft pencil cores which blend well.

Really lovely addition to your other pencils from castle art. I like the muted colours they work so well with all the pencils. I loved the colours and presentation. My only gripe is, I don’t like storing pencils in tins. I prefer the zip up pencil case. So now will have to buy one. The other sets come in pencil cases.

The Castle colour pencils are very good quality and reasonably priced. I already have a large range of coloured pencils packaged in a tin box by Castle. This pastel range of colours supplemented my range of colours which were not in my colour set. They are very useful for subtle shading.
