Mackie CR5BT CR Series Channel Studio Monitors with Bluetooth, Black

Like many have said before. The speakers are really good. Crisp. Punchy.But after 8 months of use, it simply died on me. Since it is under warranty it got fixed for free. But many are suffering the same issue. That’s the only reason I’m not giving a 5 star rating

UPDATE 2: Working Great after 200 daysUPDATE : Working Great after 100 days. Average usage is 6-8 hours per day. Initially the back side of the Active Speaker (Right Speaker) was getting a little hot (not excessively though @ comparable levels with my PreSonus Active Monitors), but after about one week of usage, the Speaker started running a lot cooler. Still Very Satisfied with the purchase!After reading the horror reviews of buyers, wherein almost 10% of speakers had failed within a few months, I was very apprehensive about investing in these speakers. I wrote to the Mackie support staff in the US, and they assured me that, the fault leading to speakers dying out, has been successfully addressed. They advised me to purchase speakers made in late 2017, or later. Due to their stressing the view, that the 'selector switch' problem has been resolved, and also due to their Professional, Courteous and Prompt assistance, I decided to take a chance and buy these. It's been three days, and the monitors sound great! I would have preferred if the monitors were Bi-amped, but at this price point, these are a good buy. I will try to update this review, with my feedback, after 6 months.

While these speakers sound nice and probably have more inputs than the competition - DO NOT BUY ! They are now dead paperweights which I bought for 14.5KWill never buy anything of Mackie ever again. They know these speakers go dead but continue to sell them. Just another sleazy manufacturer.

"Mackie" I heard this name before, because I am an audio professional. They are producing many world-class audio equipment like speakers,studio monitors... It's a budjet monitor speaker above my expectations. Very crisp and clear tone. Nice finish and build quality. Also got TRS audio inputs. It's not common in low budjet monitor speakers. It's shows its quality of audio production. Thank you Mackie for this wonderful product.

I got the Mackie CR3 at around 8k. Does the job pretty good. Didn't expect to turn out to be this good, at such a budget price. One should definitely buy these if they're on a budget.I'm opting for 4 stars because I'm getting this heating issue on one of the speaker (Powered Speaker). I don't know if this is normal or not, coz' this thing heats up at about 15mins of usage. That's a small amount of time. Though it doesn't gets too hot, just keeps me worried at times. Didn't get any problems though. The cables that comes alongwith the monitors works fine too.

I've been a hobby musician for over a decade, but I recently set up a small recording space in my home. Before owning these I was using various Logitech computer speakers or Studio Beats by Dre to monitor all of my audio and recordings. These Mackies are a game changer. At a price considerably lower than most professional studio headphones, these monitors deliver. The audio is clear and accurate, and after reading some reviews complaining about a lack of low ends, I was pleasantly surprised at the punch these have. As far as using these as media/bluetooth speakers, they are equally impressive. You hear everything the artist wanted you to hear. I personally had a few minor stutters in the audio streaming from my phone at about 15 feet, but that could be from any number of causes. I've also used them with my Playstation 4, they are especially great with any music centric games.

shocking ...thats what it is! it beats all the conventions on "good" audio we audiophiles seem to have.What a kick in the face? When you hear every bit of sound, it takes you to a different realm and the conventional music listening has to be now reoriented. After listening to an Denon AV amp on wharfdales and Bose, these are miles ahead in terms of clarity you begin to think there is something wrong with the music or your ears!! Simply said its the BEST ...I have now learnt to listen to music as it should be..enjoy the experience...

It sounds flat no frequencies are pre boosted you get a ver flat and a natural response, plus in physic appearance it looks preety attractive because of the green ring around the woofer and the tweeter, preety impressed overall. I loved the product thougt i got a damaged product the first time but next time I got a great delivery, love from this side spread love and music, #SupportSmallArtists

These speakers sound all right out of the box. Great bass and ok sounding mids and highs. They have two sets of inputs. They should last for years, in theory.Unfortunately, the circuit board which contains the amplifier is glued to the metal back panel of the main speaker, thus making replacement of even the simplest component almost impossible (Switch, inputs, outputs etc. ). The speaker positioning switch is cheap and prone to failure (thus making your speakers completely silent or single-channelled!), it has failed on mine. With that glued circuit board, I was unable to replace even that very simple component.For its utter failure in making a repairable product, I give these one star over five. Avoid at all cost, unless you don't mind buying unrepairable crap. I'm moving to something more reliable, and repairable.

NO SON ADECUADAS PARA AUDIO PROFESIONAL.Me parece que para el precio se justifica su desempeño. Entre lo bueno destaca que mete muy poco ruido, tiene entradas independientes en el caso de la bocina activa, tiene un selector para definir la bocina izquierda o derecha y tiene un sonido nítido y claro, además de una entrada auxiliar y para audífono. Lo que no me gustó es el balance general del sonido.Los bajos están desproporcionados y opacan las demás frecuencias, me parece mala idea que no hayan puesto un regulador de bajos. Si tu estudio o el lugar donde piensas poner la bocinas no tiene trampas para bajos o un tratamiento acústico adecuado, te puedo asegurar que vas a terminar con dolor de cabeza.No las recomiendo para masterizar, mezclar o para uso profesional de grabación, ya que pensarás que tus bajos son más profundos de lo que realmente son y en general engañan mucho al oído.Sí las recomiendo para entretenimiento en general, para multimedia e incluso para algunos músicos electrónicos o para aquellos que busquen bajos sobresalientes.

They are ok for the price... I guess...Be aware that they have a big 10db wave around 100hz (fake bass) and they also suffers in the high end but it is possible to fix them a bit with an EQ.Presence and precision is OK but far from great. They are good everyday general purpose computer speaker, they are OK at best for music, and poor as studio monitor. Definitely not Reference speakers.

Great sounding speakers for the price, although I do wish you were able to adjust the eq of the speakers as they're a little bit bass heavy. Other than that I would recommend them to anyone who just wants to listen to music or play video games.

Estos monitores los compré para usar en mi mini estudio casero, que no es mas que una laptop e interfaz de grabación. El resultado me pareció genial. Cumplieron mis expectativas, tiene mucha presencia el bajo y quizá le falta un poco de agudos pero con un programa de Ecualización de audio se soluciona y queda perfecto.Muy contento con esta compra, precio económico y el producto muy bueno.Para reproducir mi música de la computadora va genial. Para escuchar mis grabaciones de guitarra va perfecto. Sin duda es un producto que puede satisfacer al usuario que pretende tener un mini estudio.
