I've been using C-Balance to maintain Calcium and KH in my 12, 13, and 34 gallon tanks for several years. I occasionally need to supplement carbonate dosing as my tanks all seem to consume carbonate more quickly than calcium, but for daily dosing, this product is easy to use and works well. C-Balance would probably be an expensive way to dose a larger tank, but for a nano (anything in the under 40 gallon range) this is a great way to dose your reef tank.It's much cheaper to buy it in the 1 gallon size than the smaller size. It comes concentrated so you mix it with water when it arrives, keeping the weight down for shipping.With Amazon Prime free shipping and a good price on the product, this is a great buy.

I have been in the hobby for 20 years. I have 2 beautiful reef tanks 54 and 90 gal. I use this AB mix for dosing with Reef Crystals and Instant Ocean 50/50 mix for my salt. I keep my dKH between 8.6 and 9.3. All my other parameters remain at perfect numbers without ever having to dose other elements. The more your reef consumes the more you will have to dose to keep your dKH stable. Testing weekly is a must. Make adjustments slowly.

Containers come with concentrate. So you need to fill the containers with R.O. water or distilled water. Excellent mix. I use smaller containers and dose aquarium with those to make it easier to handle.

I've used many calcium additives and buffers and it's been hard to maintain calcium levels over 390. I've been using this for a week now and I'm very impressed. Calcium maintains between 423 and 440. If I up the dosage a bit, obviously I'll have higher levels. My coral have reacted much better to this two part than any other supplements I've tried. Highly recommend this product!

Good stuff. The alk portion does require either rough shaking to get all the precipitate to dissolve, or a hot water bath works too. I have been using C-Balance for years without issue.
