I wanted to like it
I really wanted to like these pillows but the smell is so strong that I haven’t been able to sleep on them. I aired them out for about 10 days before even trying to use them. Then I put on a pillowcase and brought them in to my room. The smell was intolerable, I couldn’t even sleep next to the pillow let alone with my head on it. So they had to be removed from my bedroom.I decided to do some more research as this was my first purchase of natural latex pillows. Everything I read says latex off gasing is usually a result of the foam or other products used with the latex (example: a latex mattress with a foam topper - the posts said the smell was likely from the foam). So then I came back to amazon and saw this is advertised as a GOLS certified organic latex fill with organic cover. Then I go to the company website but they don’t have any GOLS certified Organic pillows. They are selling a “Natural” latex pillow with organic cover. It is the same price as what I paid on amazon but one says is organic and GOLS certified. So now I’m doubting the information on the amazon page. I checked the label on the pillow and it does say organic latex fill but it does not say 100% organic latex fill (see photo). If the smell disapaites and I get more information about the fill before my return window is closed, I would be willing to keep them and change my review. Right now, I cannot recommendation these pillows.

Second one is the the lucky charm! Sleeps cool, great customer support as well
Short story, fantastic pillow:1. Sleeps cool2. Shredded latex is nice as you can change the shape of the pillow to support differently depending on how you sleep or even take some out to reduce size if needed.3. Puretree support is AMAZING. It speaks volumes to me when support is first off responsive, second off helpful and third even after a year of time since you bought the product take care of you. How many companies state there is a warranty and then fail you when you have problems? This one took care of me and I want to note that as it's unfortunately uncommon.Long story, this is a little bit of an up and down story so bare with me here.I have two of these pillows currently (one is probably going in the trash shortly). I bought my first one over a year ago. I was looking for a cool sleeping pillow that you could shape (shredded latex helps with that) and not just have a static ergonomic shape or something as some of the previous pillows I have bought have. I have bought many a pillow, memory foam, bamboo, with cooling gel, they all have their issues and mostly just sleep too hot for me. I was hoping this could be the pillow to finally help me sleep cooler at night.I immediately ran into issues with the first pillow. I had read reviews of a few people having bad odor issues with their pillows and that they would wash it or Febreze it and it fixed the issue. I figured there we only a few of those reviews, I would take the chance and if I got a smelly one I know how to fix it!. Well, I DEFINITELY got a smelly one, just horrible. I mean just like some horribly chemical smell I can't even begin to describe. I tried airing it out for a few days, made it better but definitely still there. I tried Febreze, didn't help enough really and I tried washing it but I have an agitator in my HE washer and well... that does NOT work out well lets just say that. (They state HE no agitator so, I knew beforehand I just figured I would give it a shot as I was out of options) Here's the problem, I LOVED sleeping on this pillow. Super comfy, sleeps nice and finally I finally sleep cool! You can adjust the amount of shredded latex in the pillow, you can "fluff" it so you position your neck and head how you like them and then it keeps that shape while sleeping! I LOVED THE PILLOW, but that smell.... I decided to just try and live with it. Even after over a year the smell still persisted, it would not go away. One day I stumbled upon the Puretree flyer that came with the pillow and it reminded me that it comes with a warranty. Now I DO NOT like to contact support, it's why I sucked it up for the first few months figuring the smell would go away and past the standard return period. I figured though that I do love everything about this pillow but the smell, maybe for once I'll reach out to support and ask them if there is some trick to removing the odor. To my surprise they responded back rather quickly and offered to ship me a brand new Puretree pillow to fix my issue! I gratefully accepted the offer and waited for the pillow hoping this time it would not smell like the one I already had.I can tell you right now, this second pillow I got from them is just FANTASTIC. The natural latex smell is far less pronounced then the first one and also has a softer smell which is much nicer and far more acceptable. The pillow is just like the first one I got, fantastic, just doesn't smell horrible. I could not be more happy. I seriously don't know why I didn't reach out to support earlier and instead slept on a smelly pillow for over a year.I WOULD buy this pillow again and would recommend this pillow to others.

Quality
My first latex pillow. Trying to go as natural as possible on my bedding. The construction and material are quality. I realized I was breathing thru my nose during sleep for the first time since I can remember. I am assuming due to a lack of chemicals or dust mites. The pillow is overstuffed when you purchase. After the first night I removed a gallon ziplock bag worth of latex stuffing and it’s perfect for me now. It’s easy to adjust since the fill is zipped in. I am buying a second for my husband. UPDATE my husbands pillow smelled too strong of latex. My sons pillow and my own were fine with just washing the outer cover, but I soaked my husbands entire pillow in the bathtub with a little organic olive oil soap and lavender essential oil. It was easy to wring out a bit and it’s now on the back deck drying. If there is still a smell I will update again, but that seemed to solve it. So update on washing this pillow. I have hand-washed as described above and recently tried washing in my washing machine. It washed fine with the setting on normal, but low spin and then I spinned it again on high. I soaked it with vinegar one time in warm water and then the last time I washed it I used hot water and a little bleach. My washing machine is large capacity and does not have a center agitator. I washed it in all of its casings to keep it strong. It washed fine everytime and I will machine wash in hot from now on if needed. We love the pillows, no neck pain and stays fluffy.

These guys? Are the real deal! Pillows are comfy too! :)
BUY THESE PILLOWS!!! First of all, I would not be doing my civic duty if I do not share my experience with you. I ordered SIX (6), yes SIX (6)!!! Of these pillows. Yes, I'm obsessive compulsive! Yes, I'm disabled. Yes, I am bedridden. Yes, I suffer from chronic pain. And a final yes, in my defense, I recently bought a new bed and all of the trimmings. In my "research" down into the rabbit hole of "latex", I found these guys @ PureTree Organic. I needed pressure relief, comfort, cushioning support, plush... all alll that! Well, when the pillows first arrived? They were not all of those things. I reached out to the folks @ PureTree Organics? They were quick to respond and even quicker to send extra fill and assured me that they were behind me and their product 100%. I don't know about you guys, but for me? This is a rare trait these days for a company to totally and 100% stand behind what they sell. Kudos to PureTree Organics for a job well done!
