Works great & quieter than my old one
We purchased this around 10 weeks ago to replace our old EcoAir that we had for over 4 years. So far, I am very impressed with this wee machine. It is so much quieter than our old EcoAir and it really pulls the moisture from the air in our house. We live in a super tiny, 2 bedroom bungalow which is just around 740sq feet/69 sqm (yes.... I know....it's tiny) and was built in 1979 with good old cheap breeze blocks and little to no insulation. Insulation was badly blasted into our cavity walls some time in the 80's and then our loft has about 2 feet of insulation that was badly installed too. So our house easily traps moisture and gets terribly damp if we don't do everything we can to keep on top of it. Being in Northern Ireland, it's constantly cold with very high humidity so it's a daily battle to keep our house dry. Particularly during the winter, we've awoken to literal condensation water running down our bedroom walls before. That completely freaked me out and I knew we needed to do something. Our HE inspector's solution was to open our windows wide and keep the heat blasted on. I told him I'd gladly do that if he was planning on paying for our heating bills. He laughed. That was his only solution for the mould and damp we were getting everywhere. It got so bad that mould destroyed our mattress and we had to purchase a new bed because it was so badly damaged with mould. We finally purchased a dehumidifier and it's been a game changer. This little machine works a charm. It has multiple settings including a timer. You can set it to the humidity that you want and the machine switches on or off once it detects that the air humidity drops above or below that number. And once it's hits the proper humidity, it switches off. It has a fantastic little setting for when you need to dry your washing indoors, which, living in rainy cold NI, happens a lot. We set the machine on the drying setting and add the amount of hours we want it to run at that level. It seems to make our washing dry faster as it pulls the moisture out of the clothes. Because we are in a bungalow, we have a central hallway with only 5 rooms in total running off it, so we simply place the machine at the top of the hall, outside the bathroom, open all 5 doors and allow the machine to run and get down to the optimal moisture level. And so far, all our rooms seem pretty dry. The water reservoir is very easy to remove and clean and it also alerts you once it's full. So far, we are delighted with how well this machine works. And it's an added bonus that it's not a noisy as our old one. Highly recommend this machine.

Quiet and efficient. Works a treat.
Excellent dehumidifier. Quiet and cheap to run. The laundry function really does work. When the dehumidifier is on the rooms warm up significantly.

Excellent, quiet and effective dehumidifier
Excellent dehumidifier. Runs fairly quiet. Plenty of settings yet simple to operate. The water tank is excellent, a lot better than other other dehumidifier I've used as it has a handle on the top which makes it super easy to carry once it has been removed. Such a simple idea yet no one else does it as far as I know. Very sleek design.

Efficient dehumidifier.
Bought to replace a less well known brand that had worked well for at least ten years. I use the dehumidifier in a corner of my old cottage that has a persistent problem with damp. It works well and maintains good humidity. The water receptacle in the Bosch is much easier to remove for emptying than the previous unit. It is quiet and the automation works well.

Lightweight and works well
Absolutely worth the investment. So much easier to use than my previous one. Good sound to it so not too loud. I sleep when it’s running. Works so well, great water storage compartment and easy to empty. Lightweight and easy to move about it just glides. Highly recommended and would buy again

Best dehumidifier
The best dehumidifier. Had problems with my old one which I had for just under a year so had to purchase this and it's amazing! I have to empty is daily which shows how much humidity it pulls out. Its very easy to empty. The laundry mode is brilliant to dry your washing. It has a night mode which I keep forgetting to switch on but it's okay because if it detects low humidity, it switches itself off anyway and comes back on when it needs to. Honestly the best purchase for a house that needs one. We'll worth the price.

Effective machine.
Effective machine. It is scary how much humidity it pulls from the air. The laundry function is useful and efficient. Pretty quiet in use. Has reduced condensation remarkably.

Bosch is a quality product, you could not go wrong buying this item. 1 load of clothes dry within the 8 hours laundry mode, this included jeans and jumpers. I use this in a 6 sqm bathroom and it’s always bone dry in the next 30 mins, towel is dry, walls completely dry, no mould growth. I would prefer if the wheels have brakes/detachable or hidden, although this is useful when moving it from one place to another as you don’t have to carry.

Over many reviews on this one and other dehumidifiers I learned one thing, simplicity is the main reason anyone should look into. Dry 1000 do not come with air filter. You can buy it and spend extra 35 to 40€ on Bosch filters. It's worth it once per year for better quality air. If you use it on hollow floor (usually upstairs) do yourself fewer and put it on pice of timber or plywood with four spikes or screws. The vibration will be gone. Bosch should think about it but of course didn't. The noise stays in the specification level if you help it, as above in my description. The Dry 1000 is the smallest one but over few days make my place down a good 15%. From what I read a biggest misunderstanding is moist level. In my case between 55 and 60% is the sweet spot and this dehumidifier doing very good job and keep upstairs and downstairs on it. If you want impossible like 35 or 40% investment must be done and this one won't help you (accordingly to the space you intend to use). Overall, get air filters, use brain, put some effort to help Bosch work up to standard it represents. The most important thing, removing moist and stabilising this condition in your place takes time and effort, full stop. I hope I helped few of you. Update 20.01.26 After 30 days of use I have to say the dehumidifier removes moist perfectly but there's a unexpected twist. The twist is that the brand Bosch Tetmotechnik division or I dare to say shadow of it. My DRY1000 start having issues with drops of water from underneath the dehumidifier which isn't leek but none there less creating very noticeable spots of water on my floor. It's condensation from compressor that happens more then few times. The full tank enhanced this effect. I try contacted Bosch service and after too many phone calls then emails I ended reading it is no Bosch problem - in short. Bosch says it is Amazon I should deal with. No one on Bosch Ireland side know at first, what to do with simple requests of customer support contact to get info or valid solution. I'm speechless. Be aware of lack of proper support. I apologize for my recommendation but I'll repeat, if you brave enough buy it. It's very efficient tool to remove moisture. If you lucky you won't have same problem like I do and you going to be happy. Another update 03.02.26 Finally. I purchased another one and replaced first unit. So far no problems. I presume I was unlucky and after ridiculous Bosch customer service now I'm AWAITING money return from Amazon. It's frustrating and I'm questioning my decisions. It should be much better logistics customer wise. The dehumidifier after all is very effective and efficient but its performance cannot justify all fuss around it. I hope so... 12.02.2026 almost two months with this not properly tested device by Bosch (no homework by Bosch at all or useful suggestions or information). When you using Bosch dedicated filter for this device in any of available modes you will experience side effect as I mentioned above. Too much condensation around compressor or heat exchanger that cause drops of water going on your floor. Contacted Bosch and shared my observations and experiences and they said... Yes, they said contact the Amazon. Seriously Bosch? It's a shame. Anyway. Without the filter it's monster with removing moist. With the filter, well low profile plastic lid and piece of tissue do the trick. I'm going keep it against the odds but Bosch, GET ON BOARD WITH CUSTOMERS for crying sake.

This Bosch dehumidifier is extremely noisy! I was shocked with it when it first ran.. Bought Bosch because it is a premium brand. I don't know if it is faulty but I am returning it immediately!
