XL1000 Laser Golf Rangefinder

Very difficult to get a true reading. Three tries from Sam location gave three totally different results! Sent back!

I previously had a Bushnell pinseeker pro 1600 that died. I did not want to buy an expensive rangefinder that would die in a few years so I bought the Laser Link. With the pinseeker you pressed the button and released it so that is how I used the Laser Link. However, that only seems to work when the flag is less than 200 yards away. After rereading the instructions I tried scanning with the button depressed and have had much more success. It still is slow with ranges greater than 200 yards, but it works. And I am referring to ranging the flag when there is no wind. The pinseeker is faster at providing a range, but it is also bulkier. I like it that I can carry the Laser Link on my belt on my backside. It is out of the way and easy to get. I would say that it is worth the money.

My friend had just purchased a larger laser finder that she kept having trouble getting to work. I wanted a small one that would work without issues. This one does. Once I read the instructions as to actually how to work the thing, it worked perfectly without having to mess around with it. Very happy with purchase and it was almost $100 less than my friends big one.

I have owned Laser Link products since the beginning. We have owned all their Laser Link laser guns. I bought this to have in case I played a course that didn't have the pyramids. I was disappointed with the performance and the design. I found myself having to constantly move my hat to use the product and in many cases could get a reading on a flag. To bad they didn't stay with the gun design or have a handle you could attach to the bottom. I took my loses and sold it on Ebay. This product didn't do anything the Laser models wouldn't do, just harder to hold and use. A waste of money for me.

I would never buy this device I am constantly having trouble getting the appropriate distance it is always picking up the trees and man owns and things behind the green instead of picking up the flag. This is a cheaply built device that does not work . I have had it for two years and more often than not I have to have someone else what they think the distance is because I can't be sure that it's actually picking the flag up . Do yourself a favor and stay away from this device .

Sports by Sager is great - their pricing is super reasonable and shipping was fast! However, my hands are too shaky to use this rangefinder and even my caddy had a hard time locking in on a target(yes, even the flag). I will certainly keep Sports by Sager in my "favorites" for future purchases!
