Pretty nice golf mat.
Sufficient amount of cushion where you strike the ball. I have it set on concrete, and it doesn't slide around as a result of using it for a number of shots, so you don't have to re-orient it if you are using something like a SkyTrak. Have been playing with it a month or so now, and there is no visible wear where I set the ball. Definite improvement over what I had before.

Amazing feel and quality
Great product. I sent back 3 or 4 other mats, including the Dura Pro and some other lower end brands. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. This particular mat is being used with my Skytrak and Optishot simulators. The main improvement I see compared to other mats is the comfort of ball striking. The stance surface is nice, it's actually better than some of the hitting surfaces of other brand names golf mats, but the Fiberbuilt grass surface, a 1' x 3' section, is the real difference here. It is amazing to hit off of, doesn't seem to wear no matter how hard I hit down, and it doesn't hurt my elbows and wrists, even if I hit it a little fat. It does slow the the club down, as in real life. The downside? It can't really be moved. It uses EPS pods, basically little 1x1' squares of styrofoam, under the stance mat, to better cushion the footing. The whole assembly is encased in sectioned rubber frames, making this very durable, but also impossible to move with having the EPS inserts fall out. And, it's Heavy. Really heavy. 50lbs+ I would say. That's a good thing and a bad thing, depending on your physical dexterity. All in all, I am happy. I bought a 1" piece of plywood and will fasten the mat assemby to it so I can move it around. I am happy with this purchases and hitting off the mat is a dream compared to some of the others I returned. Fiberbuilt really does make the best mats, bar none. I recommend this product highly for it's comfort and durability, but keep in mind you want to "Set it and forget it" if you can!

AMAZING!
I upgraded from the Net Return mat which was killing my wrists and elbows and this mat is AMAZING! Better spin and flight data on the simulator and my body doesn’t hurt at all!

Good Feel - make sure you have the pods for the base.
Edited: Amazon got me in contact with Fiberbuilt and they are sending me the pods which will make the mat stable. The mat itself is great and doesn’t move. Looking forward to using it with the base and pods. The rubber base is useless without the Pods. I did not receive any pods and my feet sink below the rubber base. The rubber base sticks up between your feet and you can’t adjust your feet, unless you get the pods, which didn’t come with the mat for some reason. It’s like trying to stand on 4 separate boxes and hit the ball. There is no customer service to reach out to in order to get the pods that would go in the base to make the mat flat.

Not like Grass. Innacurate distances.
I had high hopes that this hitting mat would work better than my other mat. Boy, was I wrong. Shots consistently traveled at least 10 yards less than the other mat. The only way I could get a distance similar to that on a real golf course was to pick the ball off the mat extremely cleanly. This is not how I or anyone I know plays out on the course. This mat surely does not work like grass. It is inaccurate in distance and spin.
