During this pandemic, personal fitness has been essential. I finally found a cruiser bicycle, a bike rake installed on my car and then the hunt for a bike helmet. All the ones I researched or found locally were sold out or way overpriced! I went to a local bike shop and they wanted $100 for a bike helmet. It had the same bells and whistles that my new Base Camp Ace II has. The Ace has a great fit (I have a bunch of curly hair) and it can be tightened by the dial on the back. I bike commute 5 days a week and ride on the weekends, so I'm in helmets a lot.I'm always looking for just the perfect one, and this one comes super close.To me, a good helmet is sturdy, attractive, light weight, with straps and fasteners that work well, don't slip all the time, and don't chafe. Oh yes, and a good helmet should be affordable and effectiveThis one ticks all the boxes (although I haven't crashed in it yet, it feels effective). This is the second helmet from Base Camp I've gotten (I also have the aero one) and I'm becoming a fan. I think they've gotten the formula for quality/value down pat.I'm well pleased and wondering now if they make other gear.

I bought one of these for myself and one for my son. So far we’ve had them about two weeks and they’re very good they’re lightweight and the little adjustment on the back makes it fit your head nicely.

I was looking around for an inexpensive, good-quality, well-vented lightweight helmet for road cycling. This fits that role perfectly.It has the look of a more expensive helmet. It’s a dark matte finish. Not high visibility. But if a rider is properly kitted out with lights and other high-vis attire/equipment, the helmet color isn’t really a concern (IMO).As far as comfort and weight is concerned, this helmet fits perfectly for a person with a larger head circumference and feels very good on a long ride.

I shopped around Amazon for for a really long time to try and find the right bike helmet. I wanted to get a helmet that was functional, had decent ventilation, and wasn't super ugly and cheap looking. The Base Camp ACE II exceeded my expectations. This helmet looks great. It has all the standard adjust-ability so dialing in the fit was easy. After borrowing this helmet for a couple of rides my wife also bought the same helmet as well. We both really like them and I would absolutely recommend it.

Very comfortable and well made as well as good looking. This is my second one. I replaced my last one out of an abundance of caution after years of use and a very hard fall over the handlebars right on my head. It saved me from what might have been a serious injury.

I've had this helmet for about a year or so. I did have a little bit of problems with scratching my head maybe something came off but nothing major.Last night I was riding fairly quickly for me (18mph) and my chain broke and however it happened I flew over my handlebars. I slid down the road. I had landed on my head. The helmet is really scratched up but my head is totally protected. I am writing the review because I am now buying a new one. I can't ride did a few weeks because my bike is broke. But this did a great job

Not super light but given the price point it's fine. I like the look very sleek and clean. A good amount of vents to allow cooling. Recommended to a friend because I had no complaints about the helmet.
