It worked for me
I gave the API Vacation Pyramid Fish Feeder a test run for a week before heading out on a trip, and it performed flawlessly! It’s designed to feed your fish for up to 14 days, and after testing it at home, I can confidently say it delivers exactly what it promises.Setting it up was a breeze. I simply placed it in the tank, and it immediately started dissolving at the perfect pace. The fish quickly adapted to the gradual release of food, which gave me peace of mind knowing they'd be well-fed without any risk of overfeeding.During the test week, the water stayed clear with no cloudy buildup or mess — a major win since I didn’t have to do any extra maintenance. The food lasted the full test period, showing it could easily cover the entire time I’d be gone. Plus, the pyramid is compact and didn’t take up much space in the aquarium. After seeing how reliable it was during the trial, I felt 100% confident leaving it in the tank for my vacation. This feeder really takes the stress out of worrying about your fish when you’re away. If you're planning a trip and want an easy, effective solution, the API Vacation Pyramid Fish Feeder is a must-have!

Fish alive after 10 days
I crack the pyramid in half to feed 2 fish in a 20 gallon tank over 10 days. I like this over other feeders that only allow feeding when a fish chomps on the block food. This is good for my dumb (LOL) Zebra Danio who is a frantic JAWS like top feeder. This block slow releases food into the water to float around and he gets to nibble on those passing particles of yummy stuff. My Red Cherry barb feeds in all zones including nibbling on the feeder block at the bottom of the tank so perfect for Cherry Barbs and like fish.

Reliable Vacation Fish Feeder with Minor Quirks
The pyramid design is easy to place in the tank and doesn’t take up much space. The 14-day feeding capacity is ideal for longer vacations, and the food dissolves gradually as intended. It’s also convenient for tanks with multiple fish, as it provides consistent feeding over time. That said, there are a couple of things to note. The water quality in my tank became slightly cloudy after about a week, likely due to the slow-dissolving formula. Regular maintenance might be needed upon return to restore clarity. Additionally, this feeder might not suit picky eaters, as some fish didn’t seem too interested in the food initially.Overall, this is a reliable and affordable option for fish owners who need peace of mind while traveling. Just make sure to monitor your tank’s water quality and ensure it’s suitable for your specific fish.

These worked.
These dissolved over 14 days as specified. The tank looked clear, the product was almost gone, and there was no fish loss. I have tried gel products in the past, and, after 14 days, the product appeared untouched. I'm pleased with this product.

Had high hopes but I wouldn't trust these enough to use them again. They caused a mess at a minimum and nearly killed my fish.
These are potential fish killers be careful and at a minimum do a test run before leaving these in your aquarium unattended for several days. I purchased a couple of these before I left for a four day trip. The first one was in the aquarium four days. At first the fish didn't seem to want anything to do with it after they tried "nipping" at it but once it started to dissolve they were much more interested. All seemed well through the four day trial run and while I should have tried it one more time at least, I didn't have the time or the spares to do so as I only purchase 2. After the test, I replaced the water and two days later, I placed another pyramid in the tank, said goodbye and left for my trip.Upon my return, the afternoon of day 5 (my test was only 4 days long and my trip lasted one extra day), I found all three of my fish not looking good and the water highly clouded. The fish were all sluggish and sitting at the bottom in the corner of the tank. One had red bruise-like spots visible under his chin, on his gill cover and on his "forehead" in between his eyes. When he swam he'd wobble a short way and sink back to the bottom where he'd sit. The other two were also sluggish and wouldn't move much. I thought for sure that we were going to lose at least one if not all three.I immediately started working on the tank, removing the Vacation Pyramid Fish Feeder and cleaning it up. Within a short time, my fish started to move around again. It took a week or more before I got the one that was the worst, back to a more normal state. The marks all over him ended up clearing up as well but it took a while. These fish have always been in great shape, no issues. My tank, never an issue. Five days with this thing and it made a mess in my tank at the bare minimum. I believe that because of tis product, my tank's quality was severely diminished causing some pretty noticeable distress in my fish that if left any longer might have resulted in their death. I recommend considering something else.

Very impressed!
I went out of town for 8 days, leaving my 29 gallon tank with 12 fish and a frog to be fed by the API Pyramid Fish Feeder. The reviews for it were great however, they had mostly stated that the pyramid would leave the tank dirty.I came home to, not only what appeared to be well fed, happy fish, but a tank that wasn't dirty, at all!I recommend this feeder for anyone needing to leave an aquarium unattended for an extended period of time. I was very impressed.

Makes Water Cloudy
I wasn't impressed with this product ... while it is intended to vacation feed your fish, I lost 2 while being gone for 4 days, and this product turned my aquarium water a milky white (similar to the product color). Would not recommend. It is inexpensive, but other vacation feeders have worked better for me (and my 2 lost fish).

Worked perfectly
The media could not be loaded. We have a 40-gallon freshwater tank with 45 fish and 10 ramshorn snails. The morning we left, we fed them and placed three blocks across the bottom of the substrate at the tank front. Ten days later, we came home to clear water, all fish accounted for. You can see what is left after ten days; if you have small fish like us and will be gone longer than 10 days, I suggest a fourth block.
