The product works as expected on the whole. However contrary to most advice, a special tool is needed to insert these correctly. An ordinary soldering iron tip that does not go all the way through the insert will push the insert into the plastic. However it will fill the insert with the melted debris making it difficult to screw a bolt into the insert without first clearing the blocked thread.

Good selection of inserts at a competative price. If only they had been bagged in the box because the smaller ones had migrated into other box sections. Insert well and the little step on the bottom enables positive alignment in the hole proior to pressing into place. I can see them woring well for heat and epoxy insertion.

As a 3d printer and maker I use threaded inserts quite a lot. I previously used other types which I found quite difficult to locate and insert; however, these are much better since they have one end turned down to fit the prepared hole in the 3d print. This enables much easier use as the insert is already part way into the hole and doesn't move around while heating up.A good design and I will be using this type in future, highly recommended.

Does as expected. The double helical fins ensure a secure insert that feels as tough as the plastic. Assembly is clean, no more worn-out plastic screw-holes and ensures repeatable use where disassembly multiple times is expected. Lots of sizes to ensure finding the right one for a job. I printed a test plate with several sized holes to ensure that my CAD and printer made the precisely correct fit. After that very plain sailing. Good value,

Inserts look fine but havent tested extensivley, however the case they come in doesent keep them seperated well so they were all mixed up when they arrived.

Great item purchased for 3d prints. My only criticism is that some of them are very tiny so I can’t imagine using them.

No issues at all, doesn't include the thing you use on the soldering iron to make it easier to put them in but to be honest it didn't need it. Just stick on the end of the iron and push.
