Should be great
I haven't had an opportunity to use this in Europe yet, but what I really like about this unit is that it is capable of converting power for devices up to 2000 watts, provided they are mechanically controlled devices. All that means is that the device is controlled by switches that are manually operated by buttons or something similar as opposed to programmed by thermostat or something of that nature. I want to be able to use my hot air brush when I travel, and this should make that possible as my brush is only 1000 watts, and is mechanically controlled. This device will also work with dual power devices as essentially an adapter as they don't require the use of a converter. Converters used to be VERY expensive, VERY large and VERY expensive. This is compact, weighs very little, is affordable and comes with adapters for just about anywhere you would be likely to travel. I will revise this review if I find out that it doesn't work for me when I try to use it in Europe in the fall.

Works for low and high wattage appliances!
I used this for my young son's nightlight on a trip to HK, which uses the British plug. I love how it can automatically handle low- and high-wattage appliances. Many step down converters I found were only for high-wattage appliances and wouldn't work for small ones, like nightlight, electric toothbrush charger, etc. I also like how it has a small footprint. It is a bit heavy, and I worried it might fall out of the socket with the adapter, but it held on. I think I might have used a different plug adapter that fit more tightly though. Also, just FYI, the European adapter has the skinnier prongs and can give you the depth you need if it's one of those recessed circle outlets. The converter plug has slightly wider prongs that will hopefully give it a tighter fit. My biggest complaint is that the outlet that steps down is only two-prong, so you'll need an adapter if you want to plug something in with three prongs. I'm hesitant to give it five stars since I didn't test it with any high voltage appliances, so I'd say 4 to 4.5 stars. Overall good product, seems to be good quality, and it worked on my trip :)

Light and compact
This is a fabulous power converter, as it is suitable for heated appliances and computers. It has several attachments so it works almost anywhere in the world. It is lightweight but made of high quality materials. It is also compact, so it won't take up too much room in the suitcase. It works well.

Nice double function converter; could use a ground connection
This is a nice adapter that comes with all of the plugs needed for most of the world. I got this one specifically for the high-wattage throughput for my fiance's blow drier, since they have curly hair and need a nicer one than would be available in a hotel room abroad (if they even have one at all). It's nice to have two outlets that can be used simultaneously for a high and low wattage device. Do note that the high-wattage outlet is basically intended for heating-element-type devices ONLY, and not for anything that draws a variable current as that would affect the switching circuit this uses to power the high-wattage outlet. My only main complaint is the lack of a ground connection, which it seems most travel adapters lack for some reason.
