LG B470 AT&T Prepaid Basic 3g Flip Phone, Black - Carrier Locked to AT&T

My mother has dementia and is familiar only with her LG flip phone. I was very happy with the ability to find the exact phone she has and the speed in which I received it. Brand new with charger, battery, etc. Her old phone was wet inside, but without her memory she has no idea how it happened. It worked after drying out, but not perfectly and not completely reliable. Worth every penny to find exact phone and to pay for two day delivery.

Purchased this phone for my father. Visited the AT&T store only to find that they Kyocera they carried was over $200. For a flip phone I thought they was highway robbery. I set the phone up and gave to me dad. Within a week he brought the phone back to me stating that he dropped it on wet grass. He could not get it to work, my mom could get it to work no could I and I was not happy. Our grass is not as hard as concrete and their was no reason for this phone to die so soon. I laid the phone on my cigar table to look at it each day I came home from work. I waited about two weeks and after thinking about it I picked up and tried it out. That phone was playing with our minds. It worked fine. When it came back to life that is where it played with my mind. At the end of February after an overnight charge, Dad said it would not turn. ********** I must return to add what the issue was****** After my father dropped this phone on a wet lawn the phone stopped working. I thought this was a strange issue so I thought possibly the battery might need replacing which I did. Then, maybe a few short days afterward the phones supposedly stops working. So, I gave my father an older phone ( this older phone I had purchased a year or two prior to having as a back up to my phone. I already had and purchased a new battery for it. Within a matter of days, it went dead. Three phones in less than three months certainly cause one to be suspicious. So I charged the phone. As it turns out my dad's charging was at fault. All of the phones I purchased as well as the batteries worked. Unfortunately, I had purchased an additional phone with one of the big 4 services and now I do not need it but, since I had already signed the contract I have an extra phone. I suppose I can always use it as a business phone for myself. This phone did not have a problem. It was perfect for my father. It did come with a charger and I have no idea why my dad thought he could use the same one. He grew up during the depression and his family was poor. He has always been somewhat of a miser so, as he grows older these ways are coming back. My apologies to the seller and anyone else I mislead. Lynne

Absolutely great durable phone. Cellular carriers discontinued 3G and the phone is useless.

ordered this phone for my Dad, arrived in a timely manner, they took it to local att store and no problem getting it programed, the phone worked as recommended, my Dad had trouble with hearing people and this phone is highly rated for that. Would add that my Dad only needed a basic phone, nothing complicated, so can't say anything about the other services it might offer.

This phone is the only phone my 95 yr old mother knows how to use .....a month ago she broke her hip and to make the story short (fast forward) ended up in a nursing home because it was impossible to give her the 24/7 care she needs ....it turned out to be a very sad experience because one day after, all visits were 100% restricted and was totally unable to speak to my mother or see her.... her old phone died and had to get the exact same one because thats the only one shes able to use (tried others with no success) .......I purchase it through Amazon ,but had to suffer for one month (it took that long) don't understand why ,but I'm finally able to talk to my wonderfull mother....Thank you!!!!!! The process to block a damn call is convoluted, laborious, stupid, inefficient and just awful. So frustrating and unnecessary. WTH was LG thinking? Most of us with a simple flip phone like this pay per call and to have endless calls to block is awful on this phone. FAIL.

I purchased this flip phone to replace the exact same model that my husband had been using for several years until the microphone didn't work anymore. To be fair, he is a bit hard on phones. The phone he was replacing only worked on speaker phone so we just ordered the replacement phone. All it took to set it up was pop in the sim card and charge up the battery. Then it was ready to make phone calls. Quite pleased with it so far although we just received it today. Plus, it was received within a day after we ordered it. Good service!

This is my favorite phone that I have used for many years. Its limited functions are perfect for me. I don't use a cell phone often, because I prefer my land line at home. I have never paid more than $14.99 for replacements. I was having trouble with previous flip phone, so I thought I should buy a new one. I went to 2 WalMarts, 2 Best Buys, Kroger, and finally the (pricey) AT&T store. All were "out of stock" of my favorite device. I checked on Amazon and quickly found one. Unfortunately, the price was $49.49 - a small price to pay for peace of mind. I may need to upgrade to a smart phone, but it will happen with me kicking and screaming. Thank you, Amazon.
