I bought these screws to use on a repair of an antique table. I was reattaching a broken leg and simply wanted to use new screws in a place that wasn't going to be seen so it didn't matter that they were new looking. The screws worked well--no stripping. I would buy again.

These are such well crafted quality brass screws assortment. They are will crafted and precision engineer to fit a Philips screwdriver with no slip,I have used them on countless amounts projects around my house. From door knobs kits to light fixtures!.for the cheap price and quality it's a bargain. You won't be disappointed.

I was looking for new screws to attach shiny new interior door strike plates, but found these to be a little undersized compared to the #8 screw I had on hand that fit perfectly. For instance, the screw head diameter was .30" which fit flush with the surface of the strike plate, but these screws had a head diameter of only 0.273" and you can see from the photo how one of these (on the right) sits too far down in the plate. The thread size on my sample screw was 0.164.5 (a #8 is nominally a 0.164") and these had a thread diameter of only 0.158" so I had concerns about them being tight in a hole already made by a #8. So, for this particular application, I wouldn't recommend these.

I bought some brass screws of same size and snapped heads off before sinking half way into project, even with pre drilling. Used these instead and was pleased with performance and looks.
