Used during a camping (old cabins with carpet...yuck) trip. The strong was not too overpowering even though I spray lots of it all over mattresses (4 twins, two queens and some areas of the carpet nearest the bunk beds). Even my sister who has allergies and can't stand perfume or strong odors did not complain. Still have plenty left but will buy again for every time I travel especially for hotels. I don't know if it worked but it sure gave me peace of mind which was worth the money spent. I slept well but I also bought disposable bed sheets to work as barriers between bed sheets and myself.
