Most Comprehensive Book on Vedic Mayhs
I find the vedic method in this book easy to follow and the explanation very easy to grasp. This is the perfect book for students, teachers and people going for competitive exams. One best thing I want to point out is that while practising the exercise given in the book I was not getting the right answer so I contacted the author, he was very prompt in answering my doubts. I am very grateful to the author for helping me and writing such a good book.

Best Book to beginners also
Its very good book,काश जब हम छोटे थे तब ये book मुझे मिली होती तो Maths के मोस्टली Doubts में खुद से ही solve कर लेती वोभी बहुत quickly.Thanks अतुल गुप्ता सर् you've explained each and every concept very perfectly.ये मेरा वैदिक गणित सीखने का पहला attempt है, मुझे लगता है वाकई मैने book पर खर्चा नही इन्वेस्टमेंट किया है।आपके प्रयासों के लिए धन्यवाद एवम आभार

Till this it was very good. But from then onwards for example
i reviewed it and gave 5 stars when i read only 4 chapters. Till this it was very good. But from then onwards for example, square roots and cube roots the logic explained would take quite time to understand.

Who knew that square roots could be this easy?
Very good book for those - like me - who can't really do math in our heads! Lots of examples, and most of the explanations are simple enough to follow... even for me, albeit with a few exceptions where I really had to puzzle it out. You can't skim it - you really have to read the steps and it's necessary to start at the beginning and go from there. I did learn a few tricks that I will be teaching to my kids! I had NO IDEA that there were such simple ways to do square roots! When I was taking my GRE I wondered how ANYONE could figure out some of the more advanced questions. Now I know. I wish I had known about this book then! The good: Step by Step instructions! Practice problems after every new concept is introduced! The bad: Sometimes the instructions are bit confusing, so I had to rely on the sample questions and answers to make sure that I had understood correctly.

A gem
Just as another reviewer has said, this is a gem. It contains all you need to do efficient calculation with numbers either on paper or in your head. The book also contains a lot of cool tricks, like how to multiply quickly by a series of 9s, by 11 and others.Cons: Small quibbles: The presentation is a bit old fashioned, one has to read the text carefully and get used to his notation. The book uses a lot of Vedic Hindu terms which are a bit strange to the European ear. If you spend some time with the text, as you must to develop proficiency, these annoyances disapper. If you are serious about learning to calculate effectively Vedic is definitely the way to go. It's still work but in most cases a lot less than conventional Western methods but most importantly it provides streamlined techniques that are easy to manage, much easier to do in your head, more reliable and provide useful estimates of the result before you have even finished the calculation.Knowing how to multiply and divide by two numbers is all most people need to do in their daily life. It's all I need mostly and I am a scientist who works with numbers all day. On the rare occaison when one needs more, pull out the calculator. This is something anyone can learn to do quickly and reliably and even in his head if he practices. And if you do want to become a human calculator these are the techniques most experts use.
