Thank goodness for this guide
I've played the Fallout Series all the way from the first two, then tactics, even Brotherhood of Steel which was the original Xbox's attempt at a Baldur's Gate style game, now, I play the second Fallout title by Bethesda studios and what can I say? Better, bigger and bolder, they've refined it, given it more of that wasteland feel and added twists and turns at every angle, therefore, I decided to buy the guide a few days after I purchased the game, why? I want it all, I need to explore every inch of this game, I want to play this game as fully and complete as I did in the previous Fallout titles. The guide, well, it's a great publish, I set out by starting again, following one of the "Archetypes" it recommends for the "Hardcore" play through, I tried to reed little bits at a time and found my self with the game on pause for 10 - 15 minutes at a time as I read up on quests, info, tips, extras, alternate options and found my self enjoying the read more than I thought, I was pleased to find that you can be shown all available outcomes and items obtained (As well as amount of Xp) also how to tackle each obstacle depending on your play style, be it silent and stealthy, rugged and rough, or go in all guns blazing. As for content of the guide, you will not be unsatisfied, it has load outs of all statistics, a huge bestiary, weapons and armoury section and secrets/hidden objects and also shows where there are differences between this game's mechanics and that of Fallout 3 for those who played it (Like me) and think, "pfft... Yeah, I was pro at Fallout 3 so I'll smash through this new one in no time" - only to find out it's not quite the same as it's predecessor. The look and feel of the guide is neat and tidy, it's a rigid hardback book, clear and readable text, not to busy or confusing and has some great artwork within which the standard guide doesn't, and there is an issue number stamp that gives it a great feeling of authenticity. All in all, I rate it hugely, 5 of 5 stars.

Fallout: New Vegas Guide
This book is a must have if you own Fallout: New Vegas the game. There are so many locations and places in this game that even the most thorough gamer may miss a few. I know that part of the fun is to find a new area on your own without help from a book, but seriously this helps with the frustration of finding something you've spent hours looking for.It also describes the enemies and items to be found at all the locations. So you know if its worth it to investigate an area or not. Also the book details all the missions, enemies, items and a little back story to the game. The book is well presented with a detailed hardback cover and is over 200 pages and also includes a seperate map pinpointing all locations of interest in the game.Overall I would give it 10/10.

A perfect partner
The media could not be loaded. One thing even the critics of the last two fallout games can't argue with is that they are immense. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are much loved for their depth of atmosphere and attention to detail. That legacy is not lost within this game guide. A really great and comprehensive low-down, brimming with hidden nuggets. The main chunks of the book come down to:Training -Which does a great job of explaining your character statistics, skills, perks and points. And showing you exactly how to spend them. How to interact with factions. Keep hold of your manual that came with the game, it is recommended reading.Factions and Bestiary -The section chronicals the major factions within the wasteland, what kind of objectives each faction has and what kind of action they undertake. Along with this general information is individual statistics for all the possible adversiaries you may face. Very useful.Guns & Gear -Self explanitary really. A List of every single weapon in the Wasteland and their attributes, the gear (Armour, hats all the way through to sunglasses). Finally followed with all the ingestibles, and the positive and negative concequences of taking such items.Main Quests -Again, quite self explanitory. This is the guide for the main body of the story, with all its set pieces and faction choices. This sets out in plain English the consequences of the choices you are presented with, the conversation variables you can have and all the problems you may be setting yourself up for at a later date.Side Quests -A great low-down on the multitude of side quests that populate the environment and what makes Fallout such a great game to get your teeth stuck in to. This secion describes which facion the side quest is favouring, suggested experience for each quest (a 1 to 5 rating), lists the quests in alphabetical order for easier retrieval and also highlights which side quests are integral to the main quest.Tour -This section is to acompany the poster map that is provided with the book. The map gives and overall perspective of the Mojave Wasteland, the Tour section in the book reveals a more detailed look at each part of the map.Appendices -Appendix I Details of the various endings.Appendix II shows the challenges and all their details (how to complete them and what the rewards are).Appendix III Details the achievements and trophiesAppendix IV Vendors, weapon upgrades and Gambling dens. Showing the name and location of every Caravan player, Gambling den, Healer, Repairer, Trader and Weapon mods can be bought.Appendix V Crafting locactions. Location of every campfire, Reloading Bench and Work Bench.Appendix VI, VII and VIII Collectables,Appendix IX Skill books, these add perminent points to your skills, and are well worth finding.Appendix X Skill Magazines, adding a temporary boost to skill.Appendix XI Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Caps, where to find these collectable caps.Appendix XII Unique ItemsAppendix XIII Unique WeaponsAppendix XIV Wild Wasteland Oddities, some of the occurances if you choose the Wild Wasteland Perk. The book then ends with some great art from the game and giving the game a bit of history and background.Right at the back you get your pullout map. This a really great guide, and very much recommended for a Fallout fan, you shouldn't play without it.

Fallout: New Vegas Collectors Edition Guide
I must have been one of the first people to play the game from the first day it was released. I optioned to play the game through my steam account, which then always upgraded the game patches,so I got to play the game a lot better than those who played on live. You should read the walk throughs as the game is more complex in the game play than it appears at first. The game will still crash every now and then which stops this game being really great.
