Smart and worth it
Okay so I wasn’t sure I needed another smart device, but this Sense+ has been a surprise hit. Setup took less than 5 minutes, and it synced with my other devices flawlessly. What really got me is how responsive it is - I walk in and lights trigger almost instantly. I’ve been using it to automate my morning and night routines and it works like a charm. There’s a ton of flexibility in the app, and it hasn’t lagged or failed once. Honestly, this kind of seamless experience is rare.

Such a useful addition to help me think less and do more
I have a few different Nanoleaf products in my home and one day when I was playing around in the app creating some new scenes, I started clicking around the app and noticed a section for “control groups” which said that you can connect lights with Sense+ switches together. I looked it up and for the price I decided to try it out, and honestly this switch has been a fantastic addition to my lighting system because it allows me to be more hands-free but still get what I want. First things first: Installation? What installation? The back of the switch holder comes with double-sided tape or two strong magnetic pads for a renter-friendly option, and the switch connects to the app very easily by scanning a little QR code on the back of it. Once you select which devices you want to connect the switch to, you get a quick tutorial on the basic functions and from there you get to customize what the side buttons do and you’re done. Two features I have really been enjoying are the motion and daylight sensors. The motion sensor has changed my morning routine - I can walk into my kitchen in the very early morning when it is still dark in my home and get a gentle, sunrise-y glow going while I am making my coffee without having to even care about where my phone is or press any buttons, it really helps me wake up in the morning. The daylight feature plays into this routine perfectly, because I don’t even have to think about turning my lights off to conserve energy during the day and turning everything back on at night, I just go about my day and Nanoleaf does the thinking for me. If you have a few Nanoleaf products in your home, I highly recommend purchasing the Sense+ switch. Such a little device makes such a big impact in allowing you to think less and do more!

A nice functional smart switch
The switch is small and looks really sleek on the wall. The real kicker is how fast it reacts. No delays, no bugs, no crazy setup. Everything just works. The responsiveness is consistent and impressive. I haven’t done anything fancy, just enjoy the convenience from the motion sensors and being able to change lighting scenes without pulling out my phone. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a simple smart switch that you can use without an electrician.

Cheap and doesn't work
5/6/25:I ended up getting the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch and the Aqara Smart Hub M3. Together they work great! Easy setup in Aqara's app and in Apple's Home app; the switch is quality; button clicks control my Nanoleaf bulbs quickly and reliably.4/16/25:Promising, but fundamentally flawed. The switch pairs quickly with the Nanoleaf app, but it won't allow me to control any Nanoleaf bulb.To do that, in the app you have to create a group that includes the switch and your bulb. When I try to create that group, I keep getting an error message that the switch can't be found, even though it's right there in the app, paired nicely, and able to be configured through the Devices screen in the app. I have tried resetting and re-pairing the switch multiple times with the app, but it always gets stuck when creating a group. Something must be broken.A workaround was adding it to Apple Home and configuring the two side buttons to turn a Nanoleaf bulb on and off, but you can't use the on and off button on the switch to do that; you have to use the side buttons. So weird and complicated. And it only added itself to Apple Home once. Subsequent attempts only spun forever at "connecting".I think there's something wrong with the device's firmware or the app. It doesn't feel like a hardware problem because the switch works well when I managed to navigate the labyrinth to get two buttons working.Speaking of hardware, this remote feels cheap. The buttons float around in their place and the click feels unsatisfyingly cheap. If you remove the battery in the back (not obvious how to do that and no instructions) and replace it, it often pushes the buttons on the front side out of place until you position the battery just so. Lutron makes quality switches. This ain't that.Disclaimer: I've been in tech for many years and have a solid, reliable, fast thread network at home. I know what I'm doing with smart home gadgets.I'd steer clear of this remote for now. It feels like a rush job, despite being in the making for a few years. Such a shame. I expected quality from Nanoleaf.Seems any wireless thread/Matter switch as of April 2025 is flaky and doesn't perform reliably. The only reliable one I've found is Lutron's Pico remote. Rock solid. But it has zero Matter/Apple Home integration. Switchbot has a Matter one, but it's terribly slow to respond. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

a useful but flawed device.
Like most nanoleaf products, this thing is amazing... when it works. it turns on 5 different lights in my bedroom instantly which is awesome. The problems arise when it falls off homekit or one device becomes unresponsive or it just flat out stops working entirely and needs to be reset. I'm not a fan of the sense capabilities cus its rate that I want my lights to only be on when im moving by it.... the biggest problem is it's set to use sense by default and one of my devices always seems to get stuck in that mode even when I turn it off, currently one bulb turns on every time I walk in despite having all sense disabled. This is ridiculous... but I keep using the thing as its a good switch for urning the lights on an off normally...

Smart Light Switch that just works!
I’ve been adding more Nanoleaf products to my home, so I picked up the smart light switch to tie everything together. Setup was a breeze, no wiring, just stick the mount to the wall with tape or magnets, and scan the QR code to connect it in the app.I love how the motion and daylight sensors work seamlessly. My lights now turn on gently when I walk into the room early in the morning, and stay off during the day if there’s enough sunlight. The customizable buttons are super handy, letting me control quickly. It’s a small device but makes a big difference in convenience.
