Pro Mark American Hickory 707 Wood Tip Drumsticks in Simon Phillips Autograph Model

Obviously drum sticks are an individual choice in simply ‘what feels right for you’ therefore this is my personal opinion on these sticks after trying 4 other weights/manufacturers/balance/tip shape/length of sticks which once again isn’t an exhaustive review of everything out there and I am a novice just learning to play (just passed my Grade 2 exam).However with all that said I have found these sticks to be just right for me. They just feel right for speed, dynamic variation, durability and cost. I play rock oriented music (not heavy metal) from the 70’s to current tracks and these sticks do the job. I purchased them after watching a YouTube video of Ian Paice talking about (promoting) them, I then watched other video’s of him playing and he was definitely using these.With regard to cost Amazon had them on sale at £8.85 recently therefore I purchased 5 pairs so I am now set up for a good while.So there you go, my unscientific review based solely on trying a few and not knowing what to expect until I found a pair of sticks that felt comfortable and let me play what I wanted to play without having to think about them at all and therefore just focusing on what I am playing. They are what they are a set of drum sticks good value for money. Would buy again.

As one myself, I know that all drummers have their favourite stick type which feels right for them and this particular pair is my favourite. I bought these because I'm a massive of Joey and Slipknot, but the sticks feel right for me. They're strong, not too thick, has a nice ball tip, and are comfortable in my hand.

Good prompt delivery to Amazon's credit. These are excellent sticks, but one must be aware they are very on the short side. Personally I am a user of Vic Firth, and this is the first time I've bought ProMark, but being a huge Genesis fan I felt I had to own a Phil signature set. I believe they are the same type he used on the 2007 tour, but don't quote me. Anyway, good stick, nice weight and feel, and delivers a good sound as long as your kit is quite tight and close in

Great sticks - unusually by the looks of things I bought these for what they were... A short stick. Have used this length since early 80's as premier BB a sort of 5a cut down, but this model is long gone. Usually cut any stick I have down to this length. The wood is great, the tip long lasting and the weight feels good .

Good quality

can't fault these, good quality and nice size and weight. The mark to show where you hold them's a nice gimmick!

High quality by Pro-Mark, as usual. I normally use a different pro mark stick but bought these for use on my electric kit. The shorter length works well for this.

Pouco durável

I like the ergonomic grips. These light, bouncy sticks are very comfortable. Comes with a little rubber band/marker to mark your perfect spot on the sticks. I have owned a lot of sticks but these are by far my favourite.Only note I have to make is I have not used them on a proper drum set, only for pad practice so I can’t speak to functional durability on a full kit.

Design é interessante, funcional, mas a baqueta vibra bastante, o que faz ela parecer uma baqueta barata. Comprei por um preço bom, não sei se era promoção ou se é mesmo uma baqueta mais barata, mais simples.
