Great for customization and mods. Works well!
This soldered muzzler is good. I got two tips you should wrap the box with Kapton polymide tape to protect it against heat. See my photo. Also make sure you have the DIp switch the right direction. If you have a DVM you should verify the resistance you want. Also this device is good for those that have some solder skills to make a custom resistance combo with two resistors. Example 100 + 28 ohms. They should leave on resistor pad for people that want to add such customization. Get rid of the 68 ohms as it is too low in my opinion.

Great value, works as promised
Easy to install, though it did not come with instructions. Just look up a video online, you simply set the resistance that you want, install the cover on the resistor box, unplug your coolant temperature sensor, plug that connector into one end of this device and plug the other end of this device into your sensor. It took less than 5 minutes on my Odyssey.I saw a couple other reviews say this doesn't work because it's wired wrong. Either those reviewers just happened to get a defective one or something, because it worked perfectly for me. Took it on a 2 hour trip right after installation and the ECO light in my van did not come on at all, and the van ran perfectly. For under $20, the ease of installation and piece of mind to know that it will prevent the VCM system from damaging my engine makes this a no-brainer. That it comes with extra resistors in case you need to replace one is a bonus.

Use a different part. Not this.
I can’t recommend this. It does indeed trick your engine into thinking the coolant temp is lower than it is, thereby disabling Vcm. However my experience is that this also prevented the evap system from functioning correctly, and now i believe i must replace my evap canister due to it being flooded. I’ve been experiencing rough starts or no starts for a month, even after removing the part. No shade to the manufacturer or seller - the part seems well constructed. But this approach doesn’t account for other necessary systems in the vehicle. The car also started throwing a bunch of other, seemingly unrelated, check engine codes. This is after i adjusted the resistance per the recommended instructions on the sales page. Recommend to find a different solution to disable vcm.

Made it work, they all do the same thing
Connectors not for 08 pilot , I just wired them into the original line and used option 4 for highest resistance. Works like a charm, if it breaks I’ll order another at this price point

Works as expected
The ECO mode light stopped showing on the dashboard with the initial 82 Ohms configuration at 80F. So far so good after a week of usage. I expected going to the next Ohms level sometime in May when average temps would be 90F and then again by end of June when temps will be over 100F for the Summer. I hope it will work then. I had to cover the wire ends with self bonding aislant tape to get added protection vs heat and dust. I am thinking on making my own dial muzzle which will be easier to configure than this piano style switchboard. No complaints, very good for the price. Regards to you all from the Gulf of Texas.

Easy and it works
Can’t speak to longevity, but the install was easy and the first trip across town resulted in no eco light.

Impressive when it works
I also had an issue with this vcm muzzler but was able to fix it. Unfortunately when I got around to installing the muzzler, the window to return the device had passed. Installation on my 2015 Pilot was easy enough but as soon as I started the engine, the check engine light came on and stayed on. On inspection, the cables were also soldered backwards having black on V+ and red on G. I resoldered the wires to the correct poles and it worked like a charm.I really am impressed with this muzzler. It uses a dip switch to change resistor values. However I’m still not sure why extra resistors were included. I guess it’s to enable users to replace defective resistors if needed. The eco light doesn’t come on anymore and the SUV seems to be more peppy. I just wish that the company did a better job at QA. Looking at the reviews I see that some people received their muzzler wired correctly.
