Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum 30ml, Advanced Dual-Action Serum, Boosts Hydration, Builds Stronger Skin Barrier, Lightweight Texture

I’ve been using this serum for a little while and I do like it. It has a lightweight texture, absorbs quickly, and feels gentle on the skin. It definitely helps with hydration and barrier support, but I’m not sure it’s quite enough on its own. I usually layer it with hyaluronic acid and the Medicube Pink PDRN serum, and I’ve recently started microneedling too – so I think everything is working together nicely. My skin feels stronger, plumper, and overall more balanced, which is encouraging (fingers crossed it keeps going that way!). On its own, it’s maybe a bit too light for me, but as part of a layered routine it’s a solid addition.

I’ve been using this product for a couple of months now as part of my daily skincare routine, and it’s made a noticeable difference. My skin feels much smoother, more hydrated, and nicely plumped. I use it both in the morning and evening, and like most products from this brand, it’s very gentle and effective. The quality is great, and the price is very reasonable considering the results. Highly recommend if you’re looking to boost your skincare routine with something that actually works!

This product is great as a second serum step in your routine. I used it to replace my moisturiser as felt it was thick enough to seal and hydrate the skin. It also seems to help with my redness and rosacea. The product itself is promising leaving my skin soft hydrated and sealed however the pump is poor. I also found this product helped some barrier issues I had on my elbows so used it as a healing balm. Its thick but not greasy it has a gloopy serum gel like texture so would work well for oily skin.

I noticed a difference within 2 weeks! My skin is already looking more plump, hydrated and smooth. I’m on my second pot already.

It’s a great product and special if you use any active products you can layer with this first to protect and then the active. Gives you smooth and soft skin.

Soothing and calms down dermatitis on face without clogging pores and causing breakouts. Very moisturising despite feeling light and has eliminated dry skin. Only lost one star as it can feel sticky on the face when applied. Applying a moisturizer over the top reduces this massively though.

I have very sensitive skin, but this did great for my skin. I did not break out and i felt this laong with a good moisturizer did beautiful for my skin. Its a great starting point if you want to get some hydration on your skin.

This unscented serum feels so lightweight but keeps my skin super hydrated and calm. My skin barrier feels stronger and smoother since I started using it. It absorbs fast, layers well with other products, and never feels sticky. I do two layers after my retinol and my skin is so soft and glowy in the morning. I love it so much I’ve already stocked up with two more bottles! It's such a great value.

Honestly really surprisingly effective at hydrating. Subtly hydrated, softens skin. Doesn’t necessarily plump or make visibly hydrated looking, but definitely clears and softens texture, nice consistency too.

I have tried this and the Hydro-glow, and this one is just way better. The hydro-glow's silicones pill and sit atop the skin and is not hydrating. It deserves zero hype. The Ectoin serum, OTOH, plays well with other products, and is mild and hydrating. It is so versatile. I can use it to get spreadability with other serums, or on top of other serums as a light moisturizer before sunscreen. I enjoy using it and have bought it thrice. PS -- The Ordinary has a new rice lipid/ectoin serum, but it is oiler than this one and less usable for me by day. I like both equally, but they have different places in a routine. I use this by day and the O at night.
