Why did you pick this product vs others?: Here’s why I always choose this product : When you’re deep in the trench and have ahold of Christy’s red 6” hot blue PVC high heals. You’re laying down some serious pipe burying it as deep as you can go. You’re putting in the effort, really working up a sweat. With steady rhythm and perfect flow, you’re making sure the customers needs are being met. And …. The last thing you want to happen is a Premature Eruption leaking from the tip of your pipe. So in order to avoid this embarrassment, I only use this particular PVC glue. It’s designed to hold your pipe together so you don’t accidentally spew.

Good Schedule 40 glue
I needed to add in a back-flow preventer in front of my pool heater in Florida. I normally use pipe glue that comes in a gold can but for the pool piping I thought I'd give this glue a shot. It arrived on time, has a convenient dauber attached to the lid. It's a single part glue, no primer needed. I liberally coated both parts I was gluing together and gave the whole thing half an hour to set up before I turned on the pool pump to check for leaks. The pressure gauge on my filter reads around 14 psi and my filter system circulates at a very high volume because we heat the pool to 90 degrees so I can do physical therapy in the water (recovering from broken neck). I don't know if my standard GOLD pipe adhesive would hold up but this one from Amazon is working great. No leaks, easy to use and fast drying time. Happy swimming to you!

great thick pvc glue for pools. My only caution is it sets almost to quickly. leaving barely any time for positioning.

I've used this in the past, and it works great. This particular bottle was 1/2 way gelled up.
