My husband who is a Sherriff relies on his radio as his lifeline at times and needs CLEAR understanding on someone he approaches. He only uses this one and changed it once in 4 years

I had some trouble connecting this to the speakermic of a Motorola 6550, but using a small extender it worked fine on a Motorola 7550, and typical baofeng speakermics. The included tip helps a little with external noise, but for better noise isolation I plugged it directly into a Surefire EP3 earplug. Compared to listening directly to an earphone plugged in the output, speech definitely sounds more muddy, but pressure on the earpiece secret agent style helps a lot.

Good inexpensive earpiece. I get about 6 months - 1 year out of these earpieces but they're cheap enough I can keep several in my locker and switch out easily when one dies. Sometimes gets muffled with moisture/wax in the tube but a can of keyboard air cleaner blows it right out and works again

My husband got this for work and the first time he went to use it, it was broken. Unfortunately, we bought on while he was on paternity leave for when he went back and he didn’t use it right away so we also can’t return it. Needless to say, my husband is super bummed and would advise others to check first that it works as soon as they get it!Update:The seller has very kindly responded to my post above and sent us a new working one. We are very impressed with the customer service we received and would recommend this product from this seller again. In other words, not bummed at all anymore :)

I bought this product and within less than a month (15 days of actual use) it broke on me. I was unable to hear any traffic coming through and I thought it could be my radio. I checked and made sure everything was connected and sure enough it the ear piece. I am not purchasing this item again, not worth the money.
