Really great upgrade!
I loved upgrading my suitcase player to this. The sound quality improved drastically! Very easy to apply, I would just be careful to not touch the needle.

Great replacement needle!!
So I bought a NuMark PT-01 USB powered record player from Guitar Center. It charges via USB port and has a battery inside. Anyway, Guitar Center for some stupid reason doesn't carry the needles for it go figure. I haven't been able to listen to my albums for a few months now because I didn't feel like searching for a needle for it. I finally decided to pick up this one and my albums sound like new again. On the old worn needle, I was starting to think there was something wrong with the player the sound was so bad. On this new needle, the sound is clear and loud and crisp again, like when I first got the player!!! I can't recommend this enough. I put one on the player and have an extra for when that one goes bad! I'll be ordering these exclusively when I need a new needle and can't recommend it enough. 5 stars!! Edit: Don't listen to the guy saying this needle causes skips. It does not. My records do not skip at all and sound amazing. Maybe he needed to clean his albums or some other issue was at play, but this works great with my record player. Just wanted to say that after reading his review. Later!

Fixed (most) of my skips!
I just got these replacement needles, and I have to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised. I had two records with skipping issues--one of which, Demon Days by Gorillaz, is actually notorious for skipping in general depending on the pressing you get. My Gorillaz album was unlistenable, with skips on every track. At the time, I was using my turntable's starter stylus, which was a sapphire with a metal cantilever. It worked fine on most records, but the skips annoyed me. I'm relatively new to records, and I felt disheartened. My record player, which is not a suitcase player, worked wonderfully for the most part, but again, those annoying skips on two records! But I decided, after research, to try these diamond replacements out. Long story short: they fixed most of the skips on the Gorillaz album and the other problem one, which was by the Foo Fighters. The sound also generally seems a little clearer. Oddly, my volume output seems to be a little lower now; it feels like my songs are maybe 1/4 softer than before. I think a previous review mentioned this. Either way, this will take more testing to be sure of, but even if that ends up being true, things still seem to sound a bit better, and the fixing of the skips is wonderful. There are still a few areas skipping here and there, but they're few and far between, and if this needle could make an unlistenable album almost perfect again, well, that's an endorsement I didn't expect to make. Installing the new stylus was a little harder than I expected, in that it took a bit of tinkering to get it to snap on correctly. Again, though, I'm a relative newbie, so take this with a grain of salt. Overall, I would recommend these. I have more testing to do to be sure, including with some more bass-heavy records I'll be getting this week (as bass-heavy modern-day songs have higher chances of skipping), but so far, I'm really impressed. I smiled and danced to a song I couldn't dance to before, and isn't that what this is all about, in the end?

worth it!
I have a crosley cruiser plus with the needle that came in the box, and I was having issues with skipping and muddled sound, I thought the skipping part was because of the records themselves and the muddled sound was because I had bad speakers, but NOPE, someone recommended I get better quality needle, and the difference is day and night! the sound is clear and formerly skipping records no longer skip! Definitely recommended.

Beautiful Sound Quality!
I got these for my Emerson Turntable (model #nr305tt) that had questionable sound from the Phono/Record player. The Radio, CD, and tape player sounded fine, so I thought the speakers must be good. So these styluses came in a small metal box (think: gift card tin at Christmas) stuffed in foam to protect the needle. Each stylus had its own plastic sheath to protect it inside the tin (so plastic sheath, foam stuffing, metal tin). The tin came with installation instructions as well. After I installed the new stylus (easy), and put an old record in, the sound came through beautifully! What a difference! These work perfectly!

Not a diamond stylus
Not sure how harsh to be - it’s not a diamond stylus, but I suppose one shouldn’t expect such for a low-cost needle model meant for a low-cost suitcase phono player (naive or wishful me). Still, false advertising gives buyers false hope that they’re getting a better needle that lasts 8x longer and conducts heat away like a synthetic diamond. Anyway, microscope picture tells the story: purchased needle on left, spare Victrola needle on right - both synthetic rubies. I imagine the signal pickup is comparable to a diamond (rubies are pretty hard), and purchased model looks more tapered, so it might go deeper in groove and pick up higher frequencies. Otherwise, wear is where most will see difference and lower than expected results (amateur comment). Still, the arm holding the stylus is metal instead of plastic as in dirt-cheap stylus, so will have better transmission of phono vibrations through it and have better fatigue handling. Change your ruby needles every 40-50 hrs of use…🫤 P.S: I never found a diamond stylus for this design of stylus, BTW - which makes sense based on first sentence above, so give up the hunt.
