Perfect Match with the Nighthawk BE19000
This Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 cable internet modem is pure awesome. I quickly noticed a increase in both my speed and performance while using this unit. It's so very many light years above the Arris Surfboard S33 that I last had that it will never be funny again. The best perfect match for this unit that I have come across as you all see in photo is the Nighthawk BE19000 router, future proofing my purchase with Wifi 7. I am paying for internet speed of 1gbps, with that said, looking at the photo again you can see that I am getting every bit of my money worth and then some. Another thing that I like about the CM2000 is that it doesn't get hot like my Surfboard S33 was until it played out. The two Nighthawks look so beautiful together. With this setup came another change, that change was my eithernet cables, going from using the round ones to the flat. Awesome outcome. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I pulled out and these two devices with the flat cables put out. Giving me every single drop that I am paying for and you can not get better than that. And this is also why I never ever except gear from those I am buying my service from. You'll never get all that you are paying for, and one other thing, I never ever buy a modem that doubles as a router to.... this is never the way to go. For the best performance, these things were made to join forces and become that mighty force. And that's exactly what I have here now. The best part is yet to come and that's when Wifi 7 is in place, I'll already be ready for it with the BE19000 and the CM2000 having it's back. For those that's down playing these products, it's strictly because of something that "YOU" have going on, not because of these products. My first two routers were Netgear, so it's more than safe to say that I have only come back home. They are handling every single thing I am throwing at them. I recall the days when the play store would load when I open it, with these devices paired together, opening the play store now a days it's like it never went anywhere or was never closed. Now I don't see the word "Downloading", I see installing. If anything happens to this setup, I'm going to first cry and then re-buy.

Great modem
My old Nighth hawk Modem stop working and had to get a new one. This 2.5 g appears to be faster. I connected to my Night Hawk rotter with Cat8 cable. Cat8 transfer data faster for 2.5g modem. So far product works good. Although you need to have equipment that accept 2.5g in order to utilize full function of modem.

Worked great until it didn't
This modem worked great until the multi-gig function inexplicably stopped working after only a year and a half. Now instead of getting the 1000 Mbps I pay for, I am capped at 100 Mbps. I did not touch the thing the entire time, it just stopped working. I have tried replacing all cords, reset everything, and nothing has fixed the issue. Which made me look into updating the firmware and had me discover that Netgear is a scam. They expect you to pay extra for any amount of tech support. Meanwhile they claim they are unable to update the firmware. So I talk to my ISP (Mediacom), and they claim they are unable to update the firmware and it is the manufacturer who can do that. So back and forth I go between Mediacom and Netgear who both say they can't update anything and that the other should be able to. So here I am with wasted time, wasted money, and a $300 box that can't even put out a wireless signal on its own. This modem is too expensive to not even last 2 years at full functionality. Why does anything related to connecting to the internet have to be the most painful process in all of tech

Consistent & Fast Internet Connection
I upgraded to a Motorola MB8611 modem and a new ASUS router in 2021 to fully utilize the speed in my Xfinity plan. I had occasional, brief disconnects from the internet early on. However, these disconnects continued to increase in number over the year until recently it was dropping off several times a day. After checking cables, connection to Comcast, modem resets, etc., I decided to switch out the modem. I had considered the Netgear CM2000 (up to 2.5 gigabits) modem initially but went with the less expensive Motorola since I had used Motorola modems in the past without problems. The Netgear modem setup was very straightforward as I already had the Xfinity app loaded on my phone from the previous installation. Activation via the Xfinity app took only a couple of minutes and a couple more minutes for the modem to restart. Worked with my router without any issues as soon as I plugged it into that device.Download speed varies as expected during the course of the day/night, but it usually exceeds the fastest speeds I got from the Motorola. It’s been over a week and, so far, no disconnects! Keeping my fingers crossed…Added note: I usually decline the Amazon protection plans, but I did add them to the earlier order. Making the claim on the old modem was very simple and quick. I did wait until after the holidays and delivery delays were over to return the old modem, using the prepaid label Asurion had sent me. I was credited with a refund for the full price that I paid for the modem (excluding tax) via an Amazon gift card within just a few hours of dropping the box off at the UPS store.Update 12/10/2023. It's been about a year since I bought and installed the NETGEAR Nighthawk Multi-Gig Cable Modem (CM2000). Still working flawlessly with no slowdowns or disconnects from the Comcast account.
