Great quality! Worth the price
Great quality product. Shipped fast. I attached these to my rhino rack vortex roof rack and install was a breeze. Also they're quick and easy to remove and reattach if you want to store away when you're not using kayaks, but I keep them on because they look pretty nice on the rack. My 10' Sit on top Pelican Zest fits great on these and the tie downs included are great quality as well.Even though I have a small hatchback Prius C, it's very hard to get my kayak on top of the car by myself because I don't have much upper body strength. I'm glad I got the rear loading instead of the side loader though because I'll be investing in a kayak loading assist device or making my own from pvc pipes and suction cups, this will assist in loading the kayak from the rear.Only con is that they start whistling once I hit 30mph. It's very loud at highway speeds to the point that if I weren't playing music all the time I'd be pretty annoyed by the whistling. But this isn't really a big factor for me, I'd purchase these again in a heart beat for the quality!I technically don't have the kayak sitting on the saddles correctly in my picture as I didn't have the saddles pushed close enough together to where the kayak is up off of the roof rack. But whether it's up off the rack or sitting on the rack, the saddles and tied down straps make everything snug and secure.

Excellent product. Works perfect and looks amazing!
Ordered these kayak carriers for my Thule Trackrack and I love them. The straps that come with them are top notch and are rubber coated so they won't scratch the boat. Going to buy a second set for my other kayak now that I know how good these are. Quality product, you won't be disappointed.

Finally a perfect fit for the Thule Xsporter!
Just received and installed 2 of these Rhino 581's on my Thule Xsporter rack...perfect fit! I adjusted and loaded our 2 yaks, an Old Town Vapor and an Ascend FS 10. Loading was easy with the felt pads in back. The rubber front cradles held it in place firmly, well designed! Installation required only a sharp knife to cut up and reinstall the rubber strip on top. The plastic locks seem ok, but should be made out of metal with a real lock and metal key. I have been driving around all weekend without the yaks, even at freeway speeds and got no whistling that other reviewers have stated. I love the looks of it, and the quality appears to be to be top notch!

Update The 581 Rhino Rack
I previously reported missing hardware. The 581 comes preassembled, so pieces detailed on the instructions for attaching the cradle are under the cap. There is a blue “key” to unlock the cap, then you will see the bolt and wing nut. So other than leaving that piece of info out, everything was present. I had good communication back from the seller to clarify this.

Wrong parts
Mine didn’t come with the back two pieces that should’ve been covered in felts. I received 4 of the front pieces.

Work Great with a Thule Track Rack
Overall pretty happy with this system. I couldn't find any definitive answer as to whether or not these would work with the Thule Track Rack system. Ordered on a prayer and was happy to find they do.Loading is very easy. I went with the rear-entry version and the padded back brackets make sliding my yaks into place effortless. However, the back bracket pads are made of pretty flexible plastic. No problems yet, but I'm a little worried about long-term durability. The included cinch-straps are excellent. The metal clasp is protected by a thick-rubber sleeve and they generally do an excellent job holding the boats in place. My only "issue" is with the overall build-quality. They've really maximized their use of plastic. Even the locks and keys are made of it. As mentioned above, long-term durability might be an issue. Also, I really think companies should start paring down their use of polymers for the sake of the planet.Overall very happy with them.***My Rating Criteria***Build Quality(47.5%) - 3.0 StarsEfficacy(47.5%) - 5.0 StarsPost-Sale Support(0.0%) - n/aPackaging/Presentation(5.0%) - 5.0 StarsWEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) - 4.1 STARS

Really looking forward to getting these installed and getting to the water. Bought a cheapie and regretted it. Now I’m going for the good stuff.

Works perfectly
These work great. I'm using them on a set of Rhino Aero Bars mounted on a 2016 Honda CRV. I also use the Seattle Sports Sherpak Roller on the back window of the car. With this combination I can load my Hobie Revo13 without ever having to lift the whole boat at once. I also really like the straps that come with these. I've had this for over a year now and would buy the exact same setup again if I needed to.

Superb product... not just for kayaks!
I wanted to load a rigid hull dinghy onto my car rack. After lots of research without finding anything purposely built I opted to gamble it on these given the robust looks, reviews, and reputation of the brand. Took some filing to slide into my CAM rails but perfect fit then. As can be seen, they support the dinghy superbly and the rear felted ones facilitate loading and downloading by also performing the function of a roller with the hull sliding fore and aft on them. When nothing is loaded, you hardly hear any wind noise from them! Very happy indeed!

didn't fit as well as I'd liked. I had to fill tine gap that each ...
We own Delta and Seaward 14' touring kayaks that both have a keels and therefore flatter hull contours. So the front cradles that are made for more rounder kayaks (see photo), didn't fit as well as I'd liked. I had to fill tine gap that each cradle left with custom cut foam. They work ok now, but I have to slip the foam in under the kayaks when loading each time. Price point sold me on this purchase.
